Dr. Lillian Glass Ten Top New Years Wishes for Newsmakers in 2011

Stop trying to spin the press because the public can see right through it. Know that they are not stupid!  Be open and honest and tell it like it is. Never do what you did last on the Today Show when you spoke  about your expelled children.

You will be more respected if you come clean whether it is about your relationship with your “bodyguard” to  your troubled kids. Also stop blaming Jon for your troubles and stop trashing him on TV because it only hurts the kids and will come back to haunt then in the future.

You mentioned that the children who are being home schooled are  now seeing a therapist for their behavioral issues. It may be in your best interest for the New Year to follow suit and also seek a therapist to help you deal with all of the inner anger that you leak out whenever you are on television.

Be grateful for what you have and give  back. Instead of giving the  kids used toys and clothing to  a consignment shop so you can earn more money, give it to an orphanage or to a place where children who have nothing- who are homeless or abused can benefit.

2. Rachel Uchitel

Stay out of the media. No one cares that you are a love addict (which by the way, we all are). No one cares that you are  becoming a private investigator and  can now  use your   “ sneaking around skills”  you used  when you cheated with   married men  in a more acceptable  way as a private investigator. Hiring a private investigator is hiring a person one can trust. Do you actually think   anyone can fully trust a woman who cheated and snuck around with several high profile married men ?

And Rachel if someone calls you a whore or a hooker stop threatening to sue them because you would have a hard time  defending your position in a court of law, especially after so many perceive you as shaking down Tiger Woods for millions of dollars in exchange for your silence about your sex life with him. Some would consider that a rather  whorey or hookery thing to do. So lay low and enjoy your Allred induced millions that Tiger once earned for his golfing abilities.

3. Michael Lohan

Go to acting classes to get a legitimate theatrical education. Then try out for local theatre to get your acting chops. Get some guest shots on a TV series to further hone in your acting skills or even a gig on a soap for a while. With all your business enterprising skills, begin raising money for a film project showcasing yourself. Maybe then you won’t have to ride on the coat tails of Lindsay and you can have your very own legitimate acting career.

Maybe then you can stop showing up in the press and embarrassing yourself and everyone else you have secretly tape recorded to blackmail them. Stop being Lindsay’s mouth piece so you can show up in the press.

And stop trashing your enabling ex wife Dina. We all get it! We get that she is a large part of Lindsay’s problems. For the new year be a part of Lindsay’s solutions and not her problems. That means stay out of the press unless it involves you and your acting career, not hers.

4. Nadya Suleman- “Octomom”

Stop showing up in  the press to beg for money or to garner sympathy whenever you can’t pay your rent. It is your responsibility, so you will have to manage it.

Since you don’t want to do a reality show or any nudity  figure out a way to raise money to properly house you kids. Maybe you really do want to do nudity. After all why would you show up in so many photo ops with your breasts half exposed as we see int he photo above. Why not get paid for photos like you already do for free? Maybe for the new year you may want to reconsider   Mr. Vivid’s offers.

You need to do whatever it takes to make sure those kids are well cared for in every way no matter what sacrifices you have to make along the way. Come up with a plan or a series of plans and follow through with them.

5. Mel Gibson

Spend a month with Rabbi Marvin Hier at the Museum of Tolerance. He will  cure your anti-Semitism and educate you about the Holocaust so you won’t continue to show your ignorance about the topic . You should also go on a field trip with him and with actual Holocaust survivors to Auschwitz so you can see  and hear first hand the atrocities of hate and how innocent people suffered for nothing other than what you have spewed for- hatred towards them.

Next you should spend another month living in the inner city so you see that Black people are people and not animals as you have referred to them in calling them “packs of n word”  You can see firsthand how the kids desperately need  after school centers and sports programs and cultural programs. Perhaps with all you money you can fund programs for them in every inner city in the US. You need to spend another month with Rev. Jesse Jackson who is one of the pioneers in the Equal Rights Movement. He will educate you about what it took throughout history for  Blacks  to be where they are today. He will share personal painful moments with you and  tragic moments in history where hatred like yours caused what happened to innocent young Black man Emmit Till. He will show you before and after photos of this innocent young man who was pummeled beyond recognition by those who spoke the same hateful words as you about Blacks.

Then you need to spend some time in every Latino community in the US  so you can see  how wonderful dedicated hardworking Latinos earn money, often  working  several jobs so they can feed and clothe their families.

And then you need to read my book Toxic Men- 10 Ways to Identify, Deal With, and Heal From Men Who Make Your Life Miserable . Read it from cover to cover.

Spend the rest of the year visiting Abuse Shelters and hearing stories from the mouths of  the women who have been tortured and brutalized. Perhaps then will you have more respect for women as you can now  put more of your money into Abuse Shelters in every city in this country.  This is my wish for you Mel so that your daughter Lucia can be spared the hatred and ugly prejudice that comes from you and so that your ugliness will not be passed down to her.

 6. To MTV re  Teen Moms-

MTV Stop showcasing and  making these troubled girls into celebrities and putting them on the covers of magazines to pop your ratings. It gives the wrong message- get pregnant as a teen, get on an MTV reality show , be on the  magazine covers and be a star.

You may have had the right idea to show teens the problems of teen pregnancy but your show will have either no impact or the opposite effect. \

And by the way, when you saw the teen mom Amber  beating on her baby daddy and the child Leah was allegedly in the house, why did you not intervene?  So what if it made good TV. It ended up destroying several people’s lives.

My wish for you in the new year is to take this show of the air and show great teens doing great things with their lives which will inspire other teens. And please be more responsible!

7.  George and Cindy Anthony- Casey Anthony’s Parents

I hope that truth and justice prevails as Casey gets a fair trial so that we can finally put this tragic case to rest.

And no matter what the outcome I hope that her Toxic Parents, Cindy and George stay out of the limelight and not  try to make money and profit over the death of their granddaughter or their daughter.

Cindy needs to go back to nursing and George can be a security officer  or become a salesman. He has had a lot of practice trying to sell us a bill of goods  about  Casey.

The two of them need to be responsible and  pay their mortgage and  focus on their son Lee  and  dote on his offspring.

8.  Lindsay Lohan

I pray that you work your program and stay off drugs  and alcohol. I also hope that you get a great therapist to work out your mom and dad issues and that you get a new manager not a momanager who wants to share the limelight with you and who does not appear to have your best interests at heart. If she did have your best interests at heart,  she would not have enabled you and lied about you on television interviews all these years.

While you were a cute child actress and had talent, the jury is still out as to how you will do as an adult actress and how you will be received at the box office.  You have wasted lot a lot of time and momentum when it comes to your acting career, so you  have a lot of catching up to do.

Unfortunately the window for female actors is short, unlike it is for male actors like Robert Downey who was in a similiar situation as yourself years ago.

You spent a great deal of that window not acting and gaining a fan base who would have been  impressed with your acting abilities and who would have rushed to theatres to see your next film. So  I suggest you study with an acting coach to hone your skills so when you do make a comeback you will have a better chance of succeeding for the short time your career will last.

My Favorite Performers

9. To Armie Hammer ( who played the Winkelvoss Twins in Social Network ) Matt  Damon,  Josh Duhmel. Paul Rudd,  Vince Vaughn, Jason Siegel, Leonard DiCaprio,  Reese Witherspoon, Richard Dean Morgan, Mark Walhberg, Eric Dane, Catherine Heigel, Brad  Pitt, and Angelina Jolie

Since you all my  most favorite performers and since I love watching you so much, keep making  lots of movies in 2011.

10 Snooki

Keep growing and evolving as you have been doing. Also  keep referring to my book which you read Toxic Men . By your choosing the right guy in your life, who will treat you with the love and respect you deserve, you will inspire millions of other young ladies  who are your devoted fans to do the same.

Dr. Lillian Glass Top Ten Favorite and Inspiring Gifts of 21010

With  Christmas over and the New Year approaching, it is time for me to look back on this year and to reflect on what were some of my best gifts. These best  gifts  are  my happiest  moments for which I am so grateful. As you will see from my list, the gifts of communication, being able to express myself, and being proactive, are some of the most important gifts for which I am grateful. Here is my list for 2010:

 1. The gift of Truth and Justice and the knowledge that  the American Justice system works as I  won a copyright infringement trial against Marsha Petrie Sue who not only copied my materials word for word but who also had the audacity to call her 2007 book Toxic People, the same name as my 1995 book Toxic PeopleIt was the best gift in the world to see that people like her cannot get away with this and that they must be held accountable for their actions and that everyone must know it.

2.  The next gift was  the enormous outpouring of the  public response, support  and touching comments of how I inspired so many people by going the distance and  fighting for my rights against people like Marsha Petrie Sue who take what you created and claim it as their own and how it inspired them to fight for their rights as well. The gift of their beautiful words are forever in my heart .

  3. The   powerful and healing words Eric Bjorgum,  my wonderful intellectual property attorney so  eloquently spoke in the US Federal courtroom is another gift I will carry with me forever.

 4. The gift of seeing how many people have already been impacted by reading my TOXIC MEN book is also a huge gift to me. The moving feedback of so many readers along with the support of Patti Stanger, BRAVO’s Millionaire Matchmaker, Dr. Laura,  Dr. Robi Ludwig and  Robin Sax, and of course  SNOOKI have meant so much to me.

5.The gift of working with Nancy Grace and being a regular contributor  to her HLN show as well as to her Swift Justice Show. Being around Nancy  Grace, a woman with a mission who’s dedication to justice and to helping crime victims continues to inspire me.

6.  The gift of working with Adams Media and F and S Publications and  in particular the  wonderful people who have been so supportive of me and  my books and allowing me the forum to express myself so that I can get my message across to others.

7.The gift of being able to regularly  express my thoughts and share my knowledge throughout the media from having my own body language column in Cosmopolitan Magazine to appearing  as a resident body language expert on such shows as  Millionaire Matchmaker and Dr. Phil as well as other television, radio , magazine, and internet outlets on a regular basis. I count my blessing daily.

 8. The gift of giving back is one of the things for which I am most grateful. Every week my family members and I travel around town to find those in need and provide them with a few things which can make their lives a little easier on the streets , from fresh warm blankets, to warm socks,  and tee shirts and sweats . Seeing bright eyes and smiles on faces that haven’t smiled for a long  time,  makes life worth living and is the best gift I can ever receive.

 9. The gift of new friends who seem like old friends ( ie.  Michael, Cat, Deborah,  Ree, Lois, Art, Jim, Steve,) and my old friends who have been renewed ( ie. Jan and Dave,  Reba, Martha, Elis, Chopsey, David,  Bob and  Stacy,  Susan, Shar , Ilsa, Robert, Teri, Nancy,  Donna , Jennifer,  Gloria, Rolanda, Carrie,  Mark, Bob, Phyllis, Suzy  Connie, Chris, Donna, Katiem Kerry,  Janet Victor David W, Motty, Shadoe, Brian, John, Gail)    and to FB for now allowing me to keep in touch.  I am grateful for all of my FB friends and friends on Twitter and most of all my very close and special  friends who add to the beauty of my life.

10.And last but not least I am grateful for the gifts that my beautiful family has given me throughout my life and continues to give me- their  integrity, honesty, sincerity, continued love and support which I truly cherish.

Obama’s Body Language on The View Showed Humor, No Signals of Deception Saying He Never Heard of Snooki, And Anger When Questioned About Mel Gibson

Before President Obama went on the View there was a lot of controversy over whether or not he  should have appeared on the View. Hard core journalists said no way while White House advisors thought this was a great way of reaching women voters.

As it turned out the hard core journalists were right. It was a very  bad idea.  The questions he was asked about Snooki did not put him in a good light . Besides making him look like he lied  (which he did not based on his body language analysis) it  may have uncovered another can of worms with regard to his speech making and teleprompter reading. The  President did not have to endure the discomfort level  which resulted in a  flash of anger after  he was inappropriately  asked about Mel Gibson.

The inconsistency  of saying he never heard of Snooki when he mentioned Snooki’s name  in a White House Press Correspondents Dinner  three months earlier made him look like a liar.

The Drudge Report  headline even read Obama lies about not knowing who Snooki is?

No one likes a liar, especially in their President or world leader. It diminishes the public trust.

to tell the world “I am not a crook” when that was exactly what he was.had the audacityLook at what happened to other President’s who lied. Richard Nixon was one of the most detested Presidents after he

President Clinton lost even more respect for looking directly into the television camera lens and lying that he did not have an affair with that woman- Ms. Lewinsky when in fact, he did.

On the other hand, we all know what happened to our first President George Washington who said ”I cannot tell a lie.” His inspirational story of being honest and admitting he chopped down the cherry tree is a large part of our Americana.

The moral of this story is that we love President who tell us the truth and don’t love those who lie.

After careful analysis of Obama’s  body language, I do not believe that the President lied.

Instead, he played along with the Q and A that Joy Behar was throwing at him. After she asked if  Snookie should run for mayor of Waisilla and Obama heard the audience roar of laughter, he realized that in order to be likeable and affable, it was a cue for  him to go along with the joke. He actually  didn’t even realize  what he was laughing at. He simply knew that the audience thought something as funny, so he went along with it as a way of showing his good nature.

Body language wise, he  really got into it . He even went as   far as tossing his head back and giving  closed eyed  laugh. A closed eye laugh is significant as it not always a genuine laugh.

Suddenly his facial expression changed from over the top open mouth laughter to a less  laughing mouth  as he leans over to Joy and even lens his shoulder into her and  says  “ I don’t know who Snooki is.” When some one leans into you they tend to be more serious and candid with you and are often telling you the truth, This is even more true if the shoulder is directed towards you as you see in the above photo.

Obama’s comment  got an even bigger laugh as the audience construed that he was kidding. They probably expected him to add and “I’m just kidding.”   But he wasn’t kidding. His facial expression showed that he was a bit more serious. He really didn’t know who Snooki was based on his facial expression as well as the slight pitch break in his voice pattern. That showed that he was indeed telling the truth.

When Obama gave his speech at the White House Press Correspondent’s dinner three month earlier in May 2010, he  didn’t know who Snooki was then either.

Here you see the President looking down as he read from his notes   which  one of his speech writers obviously wrote for him. Without any facial animation, smiling, or vocalizations, which one would expect if they were in on the joke and really knew the characters about whom they were joking, Obama blandly reads   “The following individuals shall be excluded from the indoor tanning tax within this bill: Snooki, JWOWW, The Situation and House minority leader John Boehner.’”

You can hear a slight chuckle in his voice when he says  the name John Boehner, whom he obviously knows. But when  he read the names  Snooki, JWOWW and the Situation, he is expressionless and  chuckleless.

When he heard the audience laugh, he merely picked up his head and looked at the audience blankly, without a smile which further indicated that he had no clue  about those who’s names he just read from his notes. If he knew who they were you would have seen a slight smile or even a big smile, depending on what he thought about the Jersey Shore characters.

So when we heard him on the View with his pitched raised saying  “I have to admit I don’t know who Snooki is
with a less hearty smile as he leans in towards Joy with and his head slightly tilted, this is a body language tell of  uncertainly. Obama is really uncertain  about who or what Snooki is. He is telling the truth.

So now that we know he wasn’t lying. But there is   another problem that has surfaced. The inconsistency made him look  bad in another way.

For some, it made him look puppet-like who was just mouthing words others wrote for him while he casually reads those words off of a teleprompter.

If he has no clue about who  Snooki is and yet can make a  joke about her in a speech written by a nameless  speechwriter, several question may  arise for many.  The questions are “What  other things has Obama said  in his speeches about which he has no clue ? Does he really know everything he reads off the teleprompter or are they just empty words?

When he gave the speech about the oil crisis which  many felt was too little too late,  he seemed to just be reading the words off of a screen. They seemed empty and emotionless. In fact he got a lot of flak for his lack of emotion and flat affect.

His reaction was inappropriate considering the crisis situation. Even his staunchest supporters like Spike Lee spoke up and encouraged him to “go off”  and show people that he was upset as they were about the situation.

After the revelation that Obama may not know what is contained in all of his speeches, it may make a lot of people question rif he is simply reading words. That certainly is not confidence building . One wants their leader to really know what is going on in every Situation ( no pun intended) , especially if they are relaying information to their citizens.

Whether it is about Snooki or the Sitiuation, the oil spill, Iran, or Afghanistan, we need to know that the President thoroughly knows every topic and every player whenever he speaks to the public.

The  Snooki embarrassment which made him look bad wasn’t the only negative thing that  came from his horrible decision to have the President  appear on the View.

His advisors needed to make sure what questions would be asked ahead of time. They need to let the  producers of the View now that there were certain questions which were off limits like asking him about Mel Gibson.

I believe that it was completely inappropriate to ask a sitting President. President Obama thought that it was inappropriate as well , At first you could see his level of discomfort  with his lip licking and tongue biting. That meant he didn’t want to talk about it. It wasn’t his place  and he know it.

But Joy pursued it so he felt stuck between a rock and a hard place and he was getting angry. He turned his head to th direction of Barbara Walters for help. But surprisingly she did not intercede.

As soon as he realized that he ws on his own, a flash on anger appeared on his face and rightfully so.

Immediately fun time  and trying to be agreeable, likeable and affable was over for him and he was mad that he was injected into this horrible fiasco concerning Mel.  The level of discomfort clearly continued in the tension exhibited throughout  the President’s  body language.

I give Obama a lot of points for his quick minded thinking as he attempted to untangle himself from the uncomfortable experience. With a serious face, he said how he had not seen a lot of Mel Gibson movies lately. He tried  graciously to defuse the situation by going off topic on to a tangent  by bringing up Mel’s movies and then with a tinge of humor adding “Ask me about Afghanistan.” It  clearly showed  his skills in diplomacy.

Besides showing how graciously the President took control to thwart an ungracious topic like Mel Gibson, the good news about the President’s appearance on the show was that he did look more relaxed and less robotic than we usually see him.

He looked like the warm likeable guy everyone feel in love with before the election. He seemed easy going and very genuine.

But he should have never been put into a situation where he was asked inappropriate and embarrassing questions that he had no business answering like the Mel Gibson issue. I am sure that if he ever does the View again or anything like it, all questions will be screened ahead of time. After all, as a politician, why voluntarily put yourself in a position to go on television if you don’t come away looking and sounding good and having more people respect  you than they did before? www.drlillianglass. com
