Stop the Rumors! Trump Did NOT Make Milania Sad During Swearing In Context is Key in Reading Body Language

Context is key  with regard to any body language analysis. So many people have been asking me to comment on why Melania looked so sad after Donald turned around at the inauguration ceremony when Rev. Graham spoke.

After scrutinizing the clip frame by frame  and looking at Melania’s behavior facial expression and body language BEFORE Donald turned around, DURING the time he turned around and AFTER the time he turned around,    I can assure you that he did not say anything to upset her.

The reason I am so sure of it is that if she was upset with what he said  it would have happened immediately at the split moment it happened not any time later and certainly not a second or two later.

Screen Shot 2017-01-26 at 4.31.11 AM.png

Melania wore the same upset looking facial expression people are speaking about well before Donald turned around as you can see her with somber expression and head bowed down. In fact in the crowd, she is one of few people with a bowed head.

Screen Shot 2017-01-27 at 6.14.41 AM.png

Melania looks sad BEFORE Rev. Graham spoke.Even Ivanka looks somber as he starts his benediction.

Screen Shot 2017-01-27 at 6.18.41 AM.png

Her head is bowed BEFORE Donald turned around and as Rev. Gram said” in the bible it is a sign that when it rains…”

Screen Shot 2017-01-27 at 6.21.32 AM.png

As soon as Rev. Graham said ” And it started t0 rain Mr. President when you came to the platform,” Trump immediately turned around and smiled at Melania as Ivanka is wearing an expression of being choked up. In essence,  BOTH Donald and Melania are having a positive and personal moment together .

Screen Shot 2017-01-27 at 6.23.55 AM.png

They both book at one another eye to eye as Melania nods and Ivanka is now happy as well, cocking her head so that she can get a better view of her dad.

Screen Shot 2017-01-27 at 6.27.33 AM.png

Trump uttered something and he immediately  turned around. Since his back was to the camera we can never know what he said. Therefore I cannot utilize my lip reading skills to decipher exactly what he said and I cannot speculate as I ONLY report what I actually see and what I actually hear. As he has turned around, Melaina is still smiling as you can see her cheeks raised and eyes still squinted and teeth showing in a genuine smile.

Then as Trump is fully turned around, her expression immediately changes. In my view, she may have just  processed the powerful statement Rev. Graham made about the rain which occurred just as Trump spoke being an auspicious sign. Perhaps the reality was beginning to set in that her husband is REALLY going to be President, that she will be First lady and that life as she once knew it will never be the same.

The reason I DO NOT believe he said something awful to her that made her upset as so many lay people, non professionals and Trump haters have wrongly remarked is because her reaction time was not immediate. When someone says something horrible to you, as they speak those words your facial expression changes. It does NOT change a second or two later. In essence, Melania reverted back to her previous somber expression that she had on her face well before Trump turned around.

Screen Shot 2017-01-27 at 6.38.23 AM.png

What even further confirms what I am saying is the fact that she turns away to look into the crowd as she processes the reality of the moment and how countless  people are standing before her,  witnessing her husband becoming the next President of the United States.

Screen Shot 2017-01-27 at 6.40.42 AM.png

Then she turns her head toward the front as she looks out into the crowd, continuing  with the serious expression on her face.

Screen Shot 2017-01-27 at 6.42.25 AM.png

She then immediately  looks down after viewing and processing the crowd and the seriousness of the situation.

Screen Shot 2017-01-27 at 6.43.58 AM.png

Now she looks at the crowd once again as further evidence she is   processing the enormity of the situation and what is going on.

Screen Shot 2017-01-27 at 6.45.54 AM.png

Then she looks down, once again ,engaging in the processing of the situation.

Screen Shot 2017-01-27 at 6.46.56 AM.png

Next, she turns her head and looks down. It has now been a FULL 6 SECONDS since Trump allegedly said something to her . It does NOT take 6 seconds to process being upset. It would have happened at the moment he spoke and immediately afterwards, which it did not.

Screen Shot 2017-01-27 at 6.49.20 AM.png

She looks down and glances up at the crowd again.

Screen Shot 2017-01-27 at 6.50.30 AM.png

Then she looks straight on as her head is slightly bowed.

Screen Shot 2017-01-27 at 6.50.39 AM.png

And now she turns with her head held high as she stands in line with her husband, looking right at the back of him. So now, she has processed the moment and is now aligned with her husband as she stands behind him having processed and accepted that she is the new First Lady and he is the new President.

Context is key when reading people’s body language. A little information and a little knowledge can be dangerous and create rumors which was the case here. Melania had a somber expression before Donald turned around and spoke to her. She was thrilled during and immediately after he spoke to her.  Only seconds later, as she processed the reality of what Rev. Graham was saying as she scanned the crowds, all the while being engaged in her own thought process did her expression look somber.

So what may have looked like her being upset at what Donald might have said to her is NOT the case at all.

As you know I am not political and I ONLY fairly report what I  ACTUALLY SEE and what I HEAR,  just as I have done throughout the campaign and now that Trump is President.  I have NO BIAS and I am keeping it OBJECTIVE at all times so don’t try to think for me and tell me what is in my mind or  tell me I am biased as I am the ONLY one that can tell you DIRECTLY what I am thinking and what my bias is or is not. I have  absolutely  nothing to hide, no one to impress and I am not beholden to anyone. So if you want to spew hate towards Trump, do it elsewhere not with me.

I report and continue to report ALL that I see whether or not it is flattering to Trump or not. In fact, I recently remarked that I didn’t like it when Trump walked in front of Melania as she was left holding the Tiffany package, while Trump sprinted towards the Obamas.  Whether he was caught up in the excitement of the day and in the moment or whether the Secret Service told Melania to stand back and wait, or whether  this was some type of protocol, I didn’t like it at all as it looked very bad to me as a sign of rudeness. In Western culture, we do NOT walk in front of a friend, spouse, or mate, and leave them trailing behind, regardless of their sex. Doing so has very bad connotations. So NEVER accuse me of being biased.

I HATE rumors and false reporting and having been a trained journalist at the number one School of Journalism in the world, USC, I vilify ANY reporter who sticks their bias into the equation like Martha Radditz who was almost in tears during her reporting on ABC of the  inauguration and who in my view should be, using Trump’s term,” FIRED”

I also HATE it when reporters, amatures, non professionals do body language analysis and do it wrongly. It is DANGEROUS and IRRESPONSIBLE!  Just because someone has a degree in Psychology it does NOT make them a BODY LANGUAGE EXPERT!  It takes years and years of work, research and experience like I have done and Alan Pease and Paul Ekman, David Given, and even ex FBI agent Joe Navarro. I have the utmost respect for all have done. These are  my colleagues I have the utmost respect for them. All of their backgrounds are solid and they know of that they speak, just like I do. Many others in my view,  do not have the expertise, experience ,or background and as a result make dangerous and irresponsible comments.

I was on the BBC last week with a Psychology Professor from OXFORD who knew NOTHING what he was talking about regarding body language . It was embarrassing to even listen to this man.

I am thrilled that Trump is fighting back and busting the irresponsible press that, many members whom we saw having direct ties to Hillary from Martha Radditz to Rachel Maddow,  Wolf Blitzer, Jake Tapper, other CNN cronies and even Megyn Kelly. I personally can never trust ANY of their reporting now and tune out whenever they speak. I have lost all respect for them as they should know better.

Emotional and Humble President Trump During His Victory Speech as He Vows to Bind the Wounds of Division

screen-shot-2016-11-08-at-11-48-07-pm

In his victory speech,we have seen Donald Trump as we have never seen him before. As he walked down the stairs on to the stage, he looked as though he was going to cry ,as you can see in the photo above.

screen-shot-2016-11-08-at-11-49-05-pm

Seeing the audience truly humbled him as he digested the fact that he would be the next President of the United States. As he walked down stage you can see, he was overcome with emotion and looked choked up.

screen-shot-2016-11-08-at-11-50-38-pm

As he spoke, his tones were even and measured, calm, and on even keel. He was very gracious about Hillary saying that  he owed her  a debt for the service she has done to this country and said how hard she worked. He then spoke of binding the wounds of division and was  passionate and sincere as he spoke. He also said that for those who did not support him, he was reaching out for guidance to unify this great country.

Then he spoke of improving the infrastructure of the country and how veterans would be treated as a priority and not forgotten. He said how countries abroad  will be dealt with fairly. And finally, he spoke of seeing common ground.

screen-shot-2016-11-08-at-11-49-30-pm

This was a Trump who was not polarizing as he spoke. He did not mention walls, deportation, borders,  ISIS or Hillary’s criminal activities as he did throughout the campaign.

For the first time, we saw his young son Baron up close and personal as he stood beside his father. Standing up there on the stage  for so long would be a challenge for anyone, let alone a 10 year old boy who stood so straight and tall between his parents. Donald thanked Milania and Donny and when he mentioned Ivanka there was a loud roar and lots of applause. He thanked Eric and his daughter in laws. Then he thanked those who helped him during the campaign including  Rudy Giuliani, Chris Christie, Ben Carson, Mike Huckabee, Generals, the Secret Service and NYPD. There was no mention of the FBI in his thank you’s for obvious reasons.

screen-shot-2016-11-08-at-11-47-08-pm

Vice President Pence  was also emotional and looked as though he was about to cry as well, when he came up to the stage to introduce Trump. But I noticed that there was something off with Trump’s reaction to Pence, as he thanked Pence last,as an afterthought. He briefly shook Pence’s hand and  quickly pulled away. Pence seemed to want more time and attention,  but Trump, who was very warm and fuzzy on the stage to those he thanked, seemed tense and distant from Pence as he turned around and quickly broke the connection between the two.  This made me wonder if there was some tension between Trump and Pence.

Did Trump regret his choice for Vice President? Did he feel that Pence was not loyal enough to him on the campaign trail? Did he get turned off with Pence for not defending him more intensely during the VP debates? Will he ever forgive Pence for distancing himself from him and giving his “strong” support for House Speaker Paul Ryan, who was running for reelection for his Wisconsin congressional seat? In my view Donald will never forgive him for this. Nor will he forgive Pence  for saying that he “cannot defend” Trump’s comments about women, when Pence  should have said that he cannot defend what Trump said on the bus 11 years ago,  and not generalize it to all women. Doing so, further inflamed the situation.

It was interesting to watch the election coverage on all of the major networks like CNN and FOX and MSNBC, NBC, and ABC. So many of the commentators like Rachel Maddow and Anderson Cooper and Megyn Kelly looked shocked at Trump’s win.

Screen Shot 2016-11-09 at 12.50.01 AM.png

ABC’s Martha Raddatz, who  was so obviously biased and grilled Trump during the debates, actually looked as she was going to cry.

As a journalist myself,  I am appalled at how these people covered the campaign with their extreme bias. Now that we have come to find out via Wikileaks how many of these so called “journalists” were in Hillary’s pocket, I think they should all be fired. I think that the networks should get rid of all of them and start fresh. The only decent reporter was  veteran reporter Brett Hume, who spoke of his being unbiased and fair to Trump during the election.

CNN, now known as the Clinton News Network, will suffer the most as will all the  mainstream media.  Wikileaks pointed out they were all in Hillary’s pocket. American’s saw the deceit with the media and now will never trust them again. All of their numbers are dropping as a result, and rightfully so.

That is why Drudge, InfoWars and several other online venues have now emerged as the new mainstream media.

And finally, people like limelight chasing  attorney, Gloria Allred and her daughter Lisa Bloom, need to be held accountable for their irresponsible behavior in parading women around, who later admitted that Trump did not harass them or rape them. In analyzing the body language and speech  of so many of these women, as Gloria sat by their side as they read a script, which no doubt Gloria prepared, I could see how they were laden with signals of deception. I also am livid at what  her “mother -like daughter” Lisa Bloom did in pulling her shenanigan of holding  a presser for the alleged rape victim who was a no show. She wasted everyone’s time and energy.  Then the alleged rape victim admitted it was a lie.

This was unconscionable on Lisa’s part.An attorney knows if they have a case or not or if their client is telling the truth or not. It is one thing to support one’s candidate, but it is another thing to deceive the public and try to destroy someone by crying rape when it did not happen.

What Lisa did hurts the real victims of rape. What Gloria did hurts the real victims of sexual harassment. So many of the women received payment for coming forth and clearly lied. I would never again take anything Gloria or her daughter  Lisa ever said in the media seriously. In fact, I would not ever allow them on the media for pulling this garbage. If Donald was not the President, I am certain that he would sue both of them.

Whether you have supported Hillary or Donald, it is important to keep an open mind now that Donald is our next President of the Unites States of America.

John Podesta Body Language Shows Extreme Nervousness In Talking to CNN’s Jake Tapper Regarding Latest Hillary Clinton Email Probe

Usually John Podesta is cool, calm, and collected, but he was the complete  opposite when speaking to  CNN’s  Jake Tapper about Hillary Clinton’s lated Email Probe by FBI Director James Comey. He used a lot of uh’s, breathed audibly, had a higher pitched voice, and lots of lip licking.

First and foremost, Podesta constantly peppered almost every utterance peppered with numerous “uh”‘s. That is a clear indication that he is nervous  and anxious about what he is saying.

We also hear a lot of audible breathing which indicates there are respiratory changes and that his autonomic nervous system is kicking in. That too indicates that his body is going into overdrive in dealing with his anxiety over the Hillary email issue.

Next, the pitch of his voice is higher than usual, indicating that there is a lot of tension in his vocal muscles- something  that often occurs when someone is tense and nervous. When he yelled out to Jake , “Do you know that? Do you know that?” his voice was extremely high and there was a pitch break in his voice ,which further illustrated vocal tension as Jake let it be known that the evidence is known based on  the report by the CNN Justice correspondent.

screen-shot-2016-10-31-at-2-06-33-am

As you can see in the photo above the  muscle tension is also in Podesta’s lower jaw area which indicated anxiety and nervousness.

screen-shot-2016-10-31-at-2-06-24-am

His  lip licking was prevalent throughout the interview, which is further indication that his autonomic nervous system was kicking in. His dry mouth or cotton mouth was due to his saliva drying up as he spoke, and hence his constant lip licking. This further illustrates his nervousness.

Screen Shot 2016-10-31 at 2.11.14 AM.png

His mouth was so dry that his lips seemed to be stuck to the inner mucosa of his mouth, further indicating that his autonomic nervous system was in overdrive.

Screen Shot 2016-10-31 at 2.11.28 AM.pngAnd finally we saw a lot  more eye blinking than usual, which is also a signal of anxiety and tension as he was grilled by Tapper.

His breathing then became more shallow and his speaking less fluid and more  choppy  as he spoke and attempted to defend his position. And finally he continues to stammer and stumbles over words use a lot of uh’s, which to not add to his credibility when he speaks on the subject.

The conclusion is that Podesta who usually appears as being non-flappable  and in control when he is interviewed  by the media  http://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2016/09/08/five-minutes-with-john-podesta.cnn

was  the complete opposite in this interview.http://dailycaller.com/2016/10/30/tapper-sends-john-podesta-into-full-on-nosedive-do-you-know-that-jake-you-dont-know-anything-video/ Here he is clearly  very nervous and anxiety ridden over the new probe into Hillarry’s emails by the FBI where 650,000 emails are now being examined.

Does Amanda Carpenter’s Body Language and Speech Reveal Truth About Alleged Affair With Ted Cruz?

Amanda Carpenter, who is at the center of the Ted Cruz Sex Scandal, has made the rounds on TV in an attempt to clear her name. But what is her communication and body language really saying? Is she being forthright? Is she telling the truth that she did not have an affair with Ted Cruz? Is she lying?

It seems that her appearances may have done her more harm than good based on her on-camera delivery, in my view. What she should have done was to look directly at CNN’s Jake Tapper, her interviewer,  and  emphatically say that she did not have an affair and leave it at that. But instead,  she did way too much explaining and went off on tangents, which may have done more self-damage by  perhaps making  people more skeptical of her.

Screen Shot 2016-03-30 at 11.22.12 PM

As she looks down, she squinches her forehead as she says he has been 100 percent faithful to her husband. But she says this in a monotone devoid of emotion. To sound more credible, in my view, she needed to look directly at Tapper and not look down or away.

Screen Shot 2016-03-30 at 11.21.43 PM

Then she finally looks up and says that there is nothing more important to her than being a good wife and a good mother. She says this in a staccato tone, which  tended to make her sound a little too defensive.

Screen Shot 2016-03-30 at 11.30.34 PM

When Jake Tapper asks her about the sports jacket she was wearing and it being the same jacket that Cruz was wearing,  she seemed to be flustered by this question as she once again  looks down and  while breaking eye contact with Tapper. She  also shrugs her shoulders (often regarded as a signal of deception) and blames it on conspiracy theories.

Had she looked  directly Tapper in the  eye and said that she was cold and Cruz gave her his jacket to wear,  that may have put an end to speculation about the two. But she did not do that. Instead,  she was flustered and continued to  sound defensive. Then she gets testy in her tone as she says she can’t understand why the Trump campaign is doing this and how no other campaign would touch this kind of stuff. This is the first time she displays any negative emotion.

Screen Shot 2016-03-30 at 11.37.43 PM

By deflecting blame on Trump, she once again makes one wonder if indeed something personal was going on with her and Cruz. She needed to sound more direct and state her truth in a more powerful tone to add to her credibility.

Screen Shot 2016-03-30 at 11.38.14 PM

As she says it’s really a conspiracy theory, she shakes her head “no” perhaps indicating that she  may perhaps subconsciously know that it may  not  be a conspiracy theory as she verbally stated.

She also  does a lot of “uptalk,” where her inflection goes up at the end of sentences. This can  often make others question whether what she is saying is true as she denies any personal involvement with Cruz.  She says this with the phrases “defending myself” which makes her sound  tentative as though she is asking a question and is insecure about what she is saying.

Then she tries to take the oneness off of her and encourages people to look at the broader aspect of the campaign. She  says “there is  toxic culture” and “go into it with both eyes open and not be afraid to confront it.” In making this statement, she is attempting to take the attention off of herself and deflect it outward.  She also wanted Trump to put a stop to this but said she was disheartened when Trump said that the National Enquirer got it right before. In essence,  she was upset that Trump didn’t come to her defense.

When Tapper asked  her if she was going to take any legal action she leaked out “I talked to” and then immediately changed her rhetoric by saying she wanted to  get through this and protect her reputation, her career and her  family. Then she mumbled out something that sounded like ” I’ll continue to talking to lawyers.” So it seems that she is looking into taking legal action concerning this matter. It is clear that she doesn’t want this incident to hurt her career. But the fact that she is  out front on the national pages  may have helped her career. No one knew who Amanda Carpenter was before this scandal. This may have helped her career by putting her on the map. Who knows, she may even get her own show after this scandal. After all, look how well Kim Kardashian did after her scandal.

It is clear that she doesn’t want this incident to hurt her career. But the fact that she is  out front on the national pages,  ironically may have helped her career. No one knew who Amanda Carpenter was before this scandal. This may have helped her career by putting her on the map. Who knows, she may even get her own show after this scandal. After all, look how well Kim Kardashian did after her own  sex scandal.

Whether or not Amanda had an affair with Cruz is only something she and Cruz know for sure.  So one cannot accuse her of having an affair if  there is no proof or actual witnesses.  But one can definitely say that she did not come across very well in her interview. Therefore,  she  may have created more doubt in the minds of the public, based on her performance.

Personally, I believe she needs to lay low and not do further damage to herself by appearing on camera for a while. Then she needs to reinvent herself  and get back out there after this scandal dies down, where she is not a part of the news, but rather reporting the news.

Democratic Debate Body Language: Sanders Passion, Down Home Style and Hillary’ Warm, Poised Control

Screen Shot 2015-10-13 at 10.42.38 PM

All politics aside, if there was a winner in terms of body language and delivery in the first  Democratic debate it would be a tie between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Saunders. All politics aside she has made significant positive changes in terms of her delivery since she first announced her candidacy. She was warm, engaging, handled herself well under pressure, smiled more, was respectful to her fellow candidates when they spoke had appropriate gestures which matched what she was saying and only on a few occasions  did the silly political gesture of pressing her thumb and two fingers together when she emphasized points.  She was also strong voiced and spoke loudly when she expressed her disagreemt. This was in stark contrast to her previous public speeches where she was robotoc and monotone.  During this debate, she  had excellent posture and moved more  fluidly than she had in the past. She seemed very comfortable and was not  stiff and mechanical as she had been in the past. She expressed a range of emotiona and appeared more genuine and real than she shad presented in the past

Screen Shot 2015-10-13 at 10.43.33 PM

Bernie Sanders was warm and engaging as well. He had a down home style that was very appealing as it seemed as though he was talking directly to you. He is tone sounded like a familiar uncle. While he had a somewhat cartoonish Elmer Fudd type  accent, it was rather appealing. He was the most passionate of all the candidates in terms of his delivery. Sometimes it was over the top but her was very watchable, much like Donald Trump in terms of his  of not being reserved about speaking his mind without worries of political correctness. He made many open handed gestures where you often saw the palm of his hand, indicating his openness and having  nothing to hide. His body language and gestures matched what he said.

Screen Shot 2015-10-13 at 10.42.28 PM

While the handsomest candidate was O’Malley, after hearing him speak in his monotonous droning voice that was muffled and breathy, he lost a lot of points.  He was so monotone, staccato, and boring in his delivery that it negated his good looks and whatever he had to say. While he seemed cordial and polite, he was so boring that it was very easy for the viewer to tune out when she spoke. His absence of inflection and vocal enthusiasm could have easily put some to sleep.

Screen Shot 2015-10-13 at 10.43.52 PM

The same was true for  Chafee who had a high pitch tinny sounding voice. It did not have a leadership sound. There was a significant whine to his tone which was not appealing. You really heard the whine when she talked about the first time he voted and made a lame excuse about his father’s death which did not put him in a good light. He also smiled inappropriately and his gestures often didnt match what he was saying. He didnt sound like  a leader in terms of his delivery and presentation

Screen Shot 2015-10-13 at 10.44.10 PM

Webb appeared angry with a fixed scowl on his face. His posture was too rigid and mechanical . So was his facial expression. He was not engaging but consistently angry sounding. His staccato tone was also off putting.

It is clear that Webb, Chafee, and O’Malley need some serious voice and speech and body language coaching if they plan on getting their message heard in the second debate. Communication  skills are key to winning a Presidency. If you are boring,  monotonous, whiney, or your body language doesn’t match what you say, people are turned off with you.

Once again I will reiterate that this is not a political blog and that this is not about politics but rather about their delivery in terms of how the candidates presented themselves in front of  voters.

Toxic CNN Anchor Creates Hostility Driving Joan Rivers Off Set But Obama Gay Michelle “Tranny” Joke May Be River’s Undoing

Screen Shot 2014-07-06 at 11.18.18 PM

There is nothing more TOXIC then someone being the instigator and then trying to make out like they are the victim. That is what happened with the passive aggressive actions of CNN anchor Fredericka Whitfield. Whitfield was the one who instigated the hostile tone of the interview by calling Joan mean when Joan appears on Fashion Police, calling Joan out on making fun of serious situations like Casey Anthony’s dead daughter and critiquing Joan’s book cover of her new book Diary of a Mad Woman where Joan is wearing fur.

Whitfield laughs a phony laugh and mugs for the camera when Joan walks off the set, acting surprised that Joan left yet mugging and phony smiling all the way. Initially Joan tried to explain that Fashion Police was not mean and that Joan didn’t attack the celebrities, she attacked the clothing and fashion.

Whitfield glossed over River’s answer and proceeded in a hostile tone to attack her over the Casey Anthony daughter humor. Joan once again tried to explain that you can take a horrible situation and add humor (albeit dark humor) it gives the person a moments respite from the tragedy. Rivers further went on to describe how Winston Churchill described this type of humor as a moment’s vacation. Once again Whitfield glossed over her answer and began to attack Joan over wearing fur on her book cover. Joan tried to explain and immediately went on the offensive asking Whitfield if she wore leather and told her to shut up and talk to her when she wears a paper belt.

Then Joan pulled out her earpiece and walked out. On one breath Whitfield was complimentary and on the other breath began her series of attacks. This is called passive aggressive behavior and highly toxic in my book. Rivers told Whitfield that all her questions had been “negative,” and added “You are not the one to interview a person who does humor, sorry,” before Rivers walked off. Rivers was right. She came to speak of her book, not the show and not her furs. It was the attacking staccatto and hostile tone of voice Whitfield used that got Joan worked up.

Had Whitfield said ” What would you say to people who comment on you wearing fur” instead of directly attacking Joan that she was wearing fur on the cover of her book, it would have been a different story. Had she worded her questions differently, Rivers would not have walked off the set. So needless to say I believe Joan was absolutely right not to subject herself to this amature, unprofessional, and hostile interview.

While the incident was unfortunate it put Joan high up in the press and now makes more people aware of her new book. It also put Fredericka Whitfield on the map as before this, most people had no idea who she was.

On the show Joan Rivers was defending herself in saying that she has made people laugh for 50 years. Before all of the current political correctness which permeates our society her humor obviously worked very well. She skewered the Royal family and Elizabeth Taylor as well as racial and ethnic groups without a thought. People loved this and her Vegas shows and nightclub acts around the country sold out regularly. It was the Don Rickles put people down type of humor that people seemed to love.

But today it has changed. People are much more tender and sensitive and don’t find any humor in tragedy such as Caylee Anthony’s death (me included). They will also not tolerate Holocaust jokes as Joan has made in the past or Black jokes. They will also not tolerate gay or gender identity jokes like the recent one she made about The President and First Lady.

When a reporter  recently questioned Rivers if she thought there would be a gay President in the White House she remarked that we already have one- Obama and that his wife Michelle is a tranny.

In my view it is not Joan’s walking off the CNN set that may be her undoing but this joke about the President and First Lady that in my view that hits well below the belt. It’s not funny and in my view oversteps all boundaries. Whether or not you are a fan of Obama and his wife, we can all agree that this was a pretty shocking thing to say, especially that Michelle is a “tranny.” While there has been tabloid press in the past  alluding to Obama’s being gay, there is nothing to even suggest that Michelle is transgender. It seem libelous to me.

While shock value has been what has sustained Rivers throughout the years, this shock value may be what finally does her in.

Amanda Knox Body Language on Chris Cuomo Interview Shows Odd Behavior and Lack of Genuine Emotion

Image

For years, Amanda Knox’s strange behavior after the murder of Meredith Kercher took place concerned everyone. She giggled, canoodled with boyfriend, and had many other inappropriate actions. Now that she has been found guilty by an Italian court, her interview with Chris Cuomo of CNN shows Knox’s continuing bizarre behavior which may reflect that she is not as innocent as she claims in the death of her former roommate. Her body language shows multiple signals of  behavior which cause concern.

Chris Cuomo asks her  “Why do you think this judge goes further than ever? Not only does he say that this is the knife, that you had it, but because of DNA around the hilt you were the one that killed Meredith Kercher?”

One would expect a person who had nothing to do with the crime to be incensed and show anger or rage at being falsely accused. That was not the case here. First Knox is silent as she looks up as see in the photo above.

Image

Then she actually laughs. This is extremely odd behavior and not congruent in my view with someone who is innocent. Why is she laughing? Is she laughing because she is far away from Italy and thinks she will never be extradited? Does she laugh because she feels safe? It is not a  nervous laugh or smile. It is a genuine one with mouth open and cheeks raised and eyes squinted. This is not how someone should react when someone is killed if they had nothing to do with it. Perhaps she hated Meredith so much as indicated by their alleged fight over money, that she is secretly glad Meredith is dead and that she deep down feels she won’t be held accountable.

Then in a defiant tone she begins by saying “I believe… I can’t speculate what this judge’s motivation’s are personalize or  other wise”. as she raises an eyebrow.

The eyebrow raise in this context is telling as she deep down is saying that she thinks the judge is out to make a name for himself. It also reflects her anger towards the judge.

Then she fakes crying in a shaky voice which recovers quickly as she says I did not  kill my friend. I did not wield a knife,” It sounded to me as though it was rehearsed as world “wield” sound like something her lawyers may have said to her. The fact that she recovers so quickly from the crying voice shows me that she does not have much remorse or empathy for Meredith’s death.

Then she cocks her head to the side and opens her eyes wide as she says “I had no reason to…” said with upward inflection in a questioning tone. To me that seems like a signal of deception as she is trying too hard to convince with this type of vocalization. Also the fact that she doesn’t mention Meredith’s name. She ends the statement by saying “I had no reason to” and doesn’t finish the statement “kill Meredith” which also shows that her concern was not about Meredith. But the most telling thing is that she shakes her head No as she says this which may be the body language revealing the truth that she may have indeed killed Meredith Kercher.

She then says they were living together and “were becoming friends.” That is a very interesting statement as it means that they were “not friends” but they were “becoming friends”. Hence, the lack of emotion for someone who was not yet a friend.

Then she says something which is clearly rehearsed as she said the same thing in an earlier interview that if she would have had Meredith’s broken body on her and traces of herself.”  The term broken body seems to me like a term that is lost in the Italian translation into English- a term which she no doubt got from her lawyer. No one in the US says broken body. They would say “bloody”, or “mangled”, or “sliced” but definitely  not “broken.”

She once again feigns emotion as her voice cracks but then recovers immediately, which indicates insincerity. Since I have heard this plea before with the exact verbiage, there is no doubt Knox is on automatic pilot as she tries to convince the world she didn’t kill her roommate. She also says “around Meredith’s corpse” instead of Meredith’s body. which also appears to me a callous and detached description.

She looks down as she speaks instead of directly at Chris Cuomo which is also cause for concern. People who have nothing to hide look right at you and speak directly to you.

She then says she believes that it is truly possible for her to “win this”. The term “win” is of concern to me as this is not a contest or a manipulation. What she needed to say was to “show I am innocent.” But she does not say this.

Initially I wanted very much to believe that Amanda had nothing to do with Meredith’s death.  So often innocent people are accused of things they did not do in foreign countries. Since foreign justice is so different from American justice, it was easy to assume this. When she came out of prison and was released and was on American soil, the tears were genuine. When her initial charges by the Italian court was that it was a sex game gone wrong, I found it hard to believe and thought she had nothing to do with that. Thus, I assumed she was innocent.

But after hearing her multiple  interviews and getting more information, body language and speech and voice content wise, something does not add up. The lack of remorse bothers me as does the fake attempts at emotion. There is no doubt that Amanda is angry and that anger leaks out in her interviews. But she comes across as callous and not caring and odd ,as she laughs and smiles inappropriately. This does not endear her to the public and makes them question whether the Italian courts finally got it right in their decision about Amanda Knox’s guilt.
