Bernie Sanders’ Body Language Says He Angrily and Reluctantly Endorses Hillary Clinton

In making this analysis, know that I have no bias whatsoever. I am not supporting one candidate over another. I am objectively using my skills as a Communication and Body language expert to share my observations.

Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 11.00.35 AM

As Bernie Sanders takes to the podium to say why he say came here, notice that Hillary is leaning away from him and looks miserable. There is no smiling on either of their parts. That is not a good sign.

Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 10.56.41 AM

Bernie then says he wants to make it as clear as possible as to why he is endorsing Hillary Clinton. While she begins to smile, Bernie is definitely not smiling. Instead, he licks his lips and then purses his lips, as you see in the photo above. In essence,  the lip licking and swallowing reflects that  his autonomic nervous system has taken over and he is clearly doing something that he does not want to do. The lip pursing is the body’s way of saying “I really don’t want to say this.” His lack of smiling when standing next to Hillary also reveals his true negative feelings towards her. It indicates that he is  not enthused to be endorsing her. Hillary clearly knows how he feels as she exhibits a teeth-clenched,  forced smile with her eyes not crinkling.

Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 11.01.52 AM

Hillary also feels Bernie’s “Burn” so to speak as she leans back with a more serious facial expression and also purses her lips. This  further indicates her discomfort around him. At first, she was smiling as you saw  earlier. But then she quickly changes her facial expression as she no doubt, feels the negative energy coming from Bernie.

Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 11.05.04 AM

As Bernie  says Hillary  will be the Democratic nominee for President, Hillary is not smiling and her hands continue to be clasped in front of her private area in front of her, indicating that she is feeling vulnerable. The reason she may be feeling vulnerable may be because she may be feeling that Bernie’s heart isn’t really into his endorsement. She knows he is doing what is politically correct. But  she also knows that he is clearly not feeling it, based on his body language.

Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 11.11.11 AM

There is something to be said about the expression “tongue in cheek” which means you are saying something that you really don’t mean. Look at how Bernie literally has his tongue in his cheek while he is endorsing Hillary, indicating that deep down, he doesn’t mean it.

Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 11.13.04 AM

Then he balls his hand into a fist as he says he will do everything he can to make certain she is the next President. Hillary is still not smiling nor is Bernie. That is his anger leaking out. He is feeling angry at having to endorse Hillary and it has shown in his body language.

Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 11.14.15 AM

As Bernie says she will be the next President of the United States, he looks down and frowns.  He does not look at Hillary. In fact, throughout his speech, he never looked at Hillary, which is telling. Hillary does manage to smile at these words and it is a genuinely happy smile with cheeks raised, eyes crinkled, and teeth showing.

Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 11.15.45 AM

As the audience cheers, Bernie looks angry and he gives a huge sigh of defeat. Then he looks down and purses his lips, as you can see in the photo above. He  is clearly not a happy camper and Hillary knows it. Yet, she tries to stay positive.

The bottom line is that Bernie Sanders is angry, swallowing his pride, toeing the party line, and being politically correct. But his heart is clearly not in it as you can see from his body language signals. Hillary knows this as well, as it is reflected in her body language. Yet, she tries to keep up a pleasant expression. The fact that she has continued to hold on to herself with her hands clasped directly in front of her throughout the entires speech, without moving,  shows that she was literally “bracing herself” until Bernie’s  non- heartfelt endorsement  was over.

When Hillary began to speak, Bernie’s autonomic nervous system was working overtime as you can tell in the photos above. He was perspiring profusely, which appeared  to be an indication of his emotional state.

Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 9.29.56 PM

He wiped his forehead, both sides of his cheeks, and did it two different times. Apparently, giving this speech appeared to be one of the most difficult things he had to do as part of the campaign.

Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 9.35.17 PMHe even wiped his mouth as there was sweat above his upper lip, which is often an indication of deception. Even though his words said he was happy for Hillary and that he was endorsing her wholeheartedly, his body appeared to say the opposite.

Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 9.32.38 PM

He  literally had to catch his breath. He took a very deep breath whereby you could see his shoulders raising as he then deeply exhaled that breath. He was oxygenating himself to stay composed.

Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 9.29.07 PM

His shoulders were rounded as though he felt defeated. His lips were also pursed, indicating unhappiness.

Screen Shot 2016-07-12 at 9.29.28 PM

He maintained that pursed lip appearance as his jaw jutted forth, which indicated that he was feeling anger at the situation of having to endorse Hillary.  As we have observed, his body language, while remaining in the background while she spoke, spoke volumes about what he was really feeling .

Once again, this is not any indication of any political bias. I merely reported my observations on their body language as a professional Body Language and Communication expert.

      1. Dr. Glass, You know full well that your very specific word choice is 100% interpretive. If you are really a communication scholar you know that is true. Also, you only once mentioned that he is literally in such grievous pain because he is lying. Anything HRC does is called a lie yet Mr. Sanders has been deceitful, then and now. Ask him why he supports guns and the NRA. Ask him about his state shipping nuclear waste to be dumped in an area in Texas where mostly poor immigrants will be affected. He is a politician. He says what is expedient, and does so easily. So please stop sugar coating his deceitful behavior, as this kind of obfuscatory writing affects your credibility as a doctor of communication.

    1. “Body language” is hardly a way to determine what people are thinking. It’s nothing but bunk that can’t scientifically e replicated. It is purely entertainment posing as science by charlatans. It’s subject to the viewers’ own predisposition and is akin to phrenology, table-tapping and superstition. I won’t pretend to read anyone’s mind through “body language” since I know it’s subjective and it’s outcome is based on a person’s perception (or false readings) that may well be the opposite of mine. I prefer to listen to the words people say-not supposed readings that are closer to unicorns than real science.

It is not bunk as you say and can definately be scientifically replicated. Look at the research on micro expressions done by Ekman at Stanford University and the research done by David Givens who have both made long life study . There is nothing superstitious about that. Do some research before embarrassing yourself with your ignorance.

      2. Oh wow. This was the most ignorant comment I’ve read today. Body language is everything. You must never have communicated with a deaf person, a person of a foreign language, a small child, an elderly person who speaks quietly, ect. It goes onto pets. I wonder how closed you are in life. We read body language everyday, to know who to approach, who to avoid. If someone ever tells you “I love you”, does their body language follow because anyone can force words out. You DO read body language everyday (I hope). You just aren’t able to analyze it. I can analyze facial gestures alone; you cannot think that paralyzed persons are not able to express human emotions visibly. Avail features, body language, gestures, its how we communicate. We don’ . Red words to say, and I believe there was a time in our human history where we didn’t use them. Reconsider your position, please.

I’m just curious if you took into account his many other speeches. It seems he’s always doing the things you pointed out. Pursing lips, not smiling, similar body language….

If you’re saying these things within the context of his other speeches, great–but if you’re only looking at this and not taking other speeches into consideration when analyzing body language, then you might be a bit off.

That said, it was enjoyable reading.

      1. Yes I looked at his other speeches and how he handled himself during the debate. His facial and body language were in synch as he shoed signs of anger when speaking of issues that made him angry and that he was passionate about. But in this situation, he was supposed to be endorsing someone. It was a happy occasion and he did not seem happy at all and exhibited many of the sme angry facial and body language tells.

He is not honest… he is playing the political game instead of continuing the “revolution” that he keeps talking about. In my book, he has just stooped just as low as anyone else. The very essence of this endorsement shows his dishonesty in a nutshell. THAT is why he is sweating. It doesn’t take a degree in psychology to see that. A revolution doesn’t give up. A revolution moves forward and does NOT endorse the very thing that opposes it. Snake… fraud… scorpion… prison-bound.. inept… lying… bitch. F&$*% The system… and most importantly… F#^& Hillary. 1. I think he’s playing a long game. If the criteria to speak at the convention and get some planks in the platform were to a) say she won the primary and b) endorse her, then mission accomplished. The most telling part of this transaction, other than the body language analyzed here, is that he did not concede and give up control of his delegates. THAT’s the story here folks – it’s a long game, not a forfeiture.

  2. This is an excellent and objective analysis, and supports what really occurred this morning: this is NOT over yet! Bernie did what DNC rules compelled him to do in order to stay in the game, keep his delegates, and retain his ability to speak at the convention, in the face of a political organization that has sought to marginalize and silence throughout his campaign. He has kept all of his options alive, and clearly it galled him to have to do it this way. Both of them exhibit undeniable body language that speaks the larger truth here. Our words are always the least signficant part of our communication.

He is still going to contest it I believe.

      2. A whiner who had to do the right thing…wow. There was massive voter fraud throughout the primaries, he hasn’t brought that up, ever. The exit polls were off by waaaay over the margin of error, off enough that in other nations we would have sent troops to prevent a ‘coup’, but when it was repeatedly pointed out here that the exit polls were indicating fraud what did they do? Cancelled any future exit polls, how telling. Also, they were only off on the Dem side and only favoring HRC, the Rep exit polls were pretty much on the money,,,things that make you go hmmm. If he were a ‘whiner’ he would have been harping on her emails all along, as, despite the FBI’s “findings”, simply reading the statutes allows even the most dull amongst us to recognize that she should have been indicted, well at least anyone honest about the findings. The related statutes don’t require intent…only gross negligence, which is exactly (per legal definition) what very careless – as Comey repeatedly called her actions – means. In actuality his supporters feel, vehemently, that he did the wrong thing, endorsing a woman who embodies everything he fights against and railed against, but it is my understanding, from the articles I have read on the ‘endorsement’ – that he was essentially blackmailed into making it. If he failed to endorse they could take away his super delegate status and deny him the right to speak at the convention, further he was advised that HRC and her cronies would vote down/refuse to allow any concessions at all on the platform if he failed to get up and do what he was told. He didn’t concede and there will still be a contested convention, likely, and, at the end of the day, even if he was “whining” (which I strongly refute)…I’d rather have someone a little whiny after having an election stolen from him, than to elevate an utterly careless person who put national security at risk in her position as SoS to the position of President, and I’m disappointed that so many Democrats find this acceptable. #Nolongermypart The Dems, the DNC, left the left long ago…about the time of Clinton 1.0. Now we have 1 party…the crazypants Republicans or the Republican Light version, but there is no longer a viable progressive party…although I have a feeling there will be soon, the youth are liberal enough to scare HRC out of her pantsuits and they are going to be a game changer in the future.

He caved in to massive corruption without standing up for the truth. He might be ashamed before the millions of people who supported him and who he is betraying.

    1. Nomination comes from the National Convention. It has not happened yet. Super Delegates were stolen yes. He has not officially lost, he has not withdrawn from his campaign. He is moving forward to the convention as promised. I believe Bernie has betrayed no one. The election system has definitely betrayed the American voters, including the 3 million Independents who were unable to vote in New York because they have a closed Primary. At the convention, he will be working to see that that changes so it can never happen again. We are a two party system in the U.S. That needs to change and have every state the same and every state an open primary. More and more people are voting Independent these days with so much corruption in the Democratic Party and Republican Party. Crazy system…..think about it….Hillary used to be Republican, Trump was a TV star/Democrat, and Bernie was an Independent….I say we get rid of all those labels and have a real open election. It should never be about a Party……like Bernie has said repeatedly….”it is about us” not the party, not the candidate, but the people.

I immediately recognized your name because I read your books many years ago! I learned a lot from you. This is a great post and I really appreciate how you use pictures to illustrate the point.

I’m also curious what you thought about Loretta Lynch’s testimony before Congress today. She was so guarded and scripted. I don’t think her body language came across well.

  8. Firstly, I want to thank you for sharing your observations. I was hoping someone with skills in this field would analyze this, as I find body language fascinating and often try to catch things as I watch interviews and such. I’d say your post is 99% on target, in my opinion. There are 2 elements that seem a bit off in my opinion:

    1) You comment on the ‘cheers’ as he endorses her… Well, that’s not body language of the two people being analyzed, so it’s an irrelevant piece of description… and not entirely accurate either. What you couldn’t know from the video that the people who know the logistics of the rally know is that the Bernie supporters, who were certainly not cheering, had been herded over to the side and the back of the venue, and the Hillary supporters were positioned more front center, thus Her supporters’ cheers could be heard on video, but you could not hear the negative reaction of the Bernie supporters. So while I do believe you tried to keep any bias from this, putting in the part about the cheering was irrelevant and not fully accurate, though you would not have known about the inaccuracy from watching the video.

    2) The ‘swallowing his pride’ comment. While I understand it looking that way as filtered through an observer, as swallowing one’s pride would be a fairly *typical* reaction, in my opinion, you missed the mark slightly here. You attached to your observation the idea of wounded pride, but for those of us who have watched Bernie over an extended time and know his history, pride really isn’t what he’s about. I think with factoring in what we know of Bernie otherwise, the emotion attached to the expression was likely something more akin to shame… shame at genuinely feeling that Hillary is not right for the job, not what the country/world needs right now, and shame at knowing that his words would be hurting his supporters, some of whom were in the audience looking at him with their upset clearly visible in their body language. I think you’re spot on about his anger… I think he resented the heck out of being in this situation. And, yes, I’d bet Hillary could feel the anger rolling off of him in waves. I think Bernie’s ‘tongue in cheek’ part was a very good catch, as well as the lack of genuine smile from Hillary and her hands in front of her the whole time, and then the genuine smile from her when he said “she will be the next President of the United States.” Anyway, thank you very much for posting this informative piece.

    1. I want to comment about the “tongue in cheek.” When I read that part of the analysis, I immediately thought of a video of a university lecture/seminar several years ago in which I saw a frequent “tongue in cheek” during my lecture. In my case, it was in fact related to an aching tooth. I mention this not to cast any doubt on the excellent analysis here, but merely to suggest that any single piece of body language could have various reasons. In other words, one element should not be taken in isolation, because there is some probability that it does not mean what you think. It is the composite picture of many, many elements that has meaning.

      Like

      1. the fact that th tobgue in cheek gesture was made in isolation is very significant when he did not make it before. If he had a tooth ailment he would have done it more often. In essence his tongue in cheek gesture was a micro tell of what he was feeling emotionally.

  10. Repost from a post.

Some Machiavellian Musings on Bernie’s Endorsement of Hillary yesterday.

Stay steadfast and strong! One of our colleagues posted this:
TODAY BERNIE ENDORSED HILLARY BUT HE DID NOT CONCEDE. HE CAN STILL WIN:

    From Caroline: repost

    FAQ time:

    Q. Why did Bernie endorse Hillary now?
    A. They threatened to completey shut him out of the convention if he didn’t.

    Q. Couldn’t he have said screw them and go and fight at the convention anyway?
    A. No. Hillary has more delegates, Superdelegates, and supporters on the DNC rules committee. They would have voted down every one of our platforms, denied Bernie the opportunity to speak, and basically shut him out of the entire process. All the leverage he has gained up to this point would be gone.

    Q. So wait, Bernie DIDN’T quit today?
    A. No. He had to say she won the primary, he endorses her and will help the party defeat Trump, yadda yadda but he DID NOT concede. There is a very big and important difference. Had he conceded, all of his delegates would go to Hillary and he would no longer be an option for nominee.

    Q. So Bernie can actually still win??
    A. YES. And if he wasn’t still TRYING to win, he would have conceded. The ONLY option he had to get to the convention with his delegates behind him and have a chance to still win was to do what he did today. He is not a traitor. He didn’t sell us out. He did the only possible thing he could have done to keep fighting for the nomination.

    Q. So how can Bernie still win if he’s losing the delegate count and he just said he will help Hillary win the election?
    A. By far the most important thing to the DNC, even more important than making sure Hillary beats Bernie, is making sure the Democratic nominee beats the Republicans in November. They scrutinize every poll, every opinion of the public, every event to judge whether a candidate is strong enough to win in November. There are A LOT of things going on right now that show how weak of a general election candidate Hillary Clinton is:
-66% of the country sees her as untrustworthy
-60% thinks she should have been indicted for the email scandal
-A lot of Bernie supporters won’t vote for her
-Congress has requested the Department of Justice investigate her for lying under oath about the email scandal
-There’s a possibility more emails will be leaked by wikileaks or hackers further proving her guilt
-Many believe the FBI is secretly investigating the Clinton Foundation
-Her “wins” during the primary have been tainted with accusations of fraud, suppression, lawsuits, and investigations
And then there’s Bernie. An honest candidate people trust and whose approval rating and trustworthy rating crushes Clinton’s. This is the argument Bernie will make at the convention. With all his 1,900 delegates inside arguing this case and 100,000 supporters outside arguing this case, we hope the DNC realizes he’s the only choice. He CAN win the convention, but he has to get there first. That’s why he endorsed her today.

    Q. So it’s still important that all of his delegates go to the convention and we all still March on it like we planned?
    A. It’s more important now than it ever was before.

    Q. What if the DNC still refuses to nominate him at the convention? Can he still run third party now that he endorsed her?
    A. Yes. In fact, running third party has never been an option until AFTER the convention. We need to stick with Bernie and see this through to the convention. He’s led us this far. Do not abandon him now.

    Q. What if he loses at the convention and doesn’t run third party, but instead endorses Hillary 100% and asks us to vote for her?
    A. Then our revolution continues without him and we continue to fight against Hillary Clinton and the DNC all the way up to November and beyond by voting for someone like Jill Stein or writing Bernie in. But the time for that is NOT here yet.

    Q. So what did Bernie accomplish with this move?
    A. Backed into a corner, facing the entire political pressure of the Democratic Party and the DNC, robbed of a right to claim he should be winning if not for a rigged process, and faced with the threat of being shut out of the convention completely Bernie:
    1. Managed to stay in the race and secure a prime speaking slot at a contested convention which he can turn into a floor fight
    2. Kept all of his delegates to use as leverage in that floor fight. Got tens of thousands of people to “Like” and “follow” Green Party candidate Jill Stein on social media
    4. Amplified the #NeverHilliary screams of his supporters for all the media and Superdelegates to see 12 days before the convention.
Anyone trashing Bernie today needs to wake up and respect the masterful chess move he just made.

Some have also suggested that she could have made a deal to drop out of the race in return for no indictment (hence no indictment on emails). Is there anything unusual about her body language recently, like since she apparently won the primary? Does she look genuinely delighted or is it possible that body language suggests she knows she will not become president?

He was feeling immense remorse for having disappointed so many of his supporters. He was thinking about them and what they would think of him. The poor guy looked as if he was being blackmailed by Clinton and the Democratic establishment! It was really hard to watch to be honest. I’m just hoping this is merely all deceptive fodder and part of Bernie’s plan to mobilize enough delegates and thousands of people to steal the nomination away from Clinton at the convention in Philly.

    1. I agree overall with Dr. Glass’s expert analysis. And to me, Clinton looks like she knows she is guilty. It’s not only that she feels Sanders’s “negative energy,” she knows why it is there. He had enormous pressure put on him to go along with this. The elections were not fairly run, and he has been enormously restrained in not criticizing the DNC for that, even though there are many lawsuits pending. Also, Clinton makes a mocking gesture when Sanders mentions economic inequality, almost apologizing to her donors in the financial industry. She looks very uncomfortable throughout, but I also sense that her conscience is not clear.

  15. Good analysis. Bernie’s body language is always fascinating, mainly because he does little to conceal it. Perhaps it is an extension of his innate honesty and outspokenness that he is easy to read.

By the way, the saying is “toeing the line” (as in walking, or not crossing, the line) not “towing” as is pulling or hauling a fishing line.

You’re doing nothing but fueling a fire with innuendo and supposition and your own interpretations, kind of like a carnival fortune teller does.

  17. Wow!!! I’ll be sure never to post anything ever again here due to grammar and punctuation analysis patrol!!!

I just wanted to thank you for this article. I would be very interested in seeing more from you about some of HER speeches from the past.

OK, go ahead and analyze my grammar and spelling.

Didn’t know you were writing for a grade, keep on keeping on and ignore the grammar/spelling patrol (I just read an article about 2 weeks ago on how miserable the types to grammatically/typo attack anyone and everyone are – and how they are often disliked because of their anal retentive need to show how smart they are. Great post

    1. No it is not BS.Your comment reflects your politics coming into play. If you looked objectively at their body language and communication patterns you would see that is is an accurate assessment. Body language analysis is both an art and a science.

  18. Clearly she’s never seen Bernie speak before. He is holding himself, and has the same facial expressions he’s always had. These shots are taken out of context. This analysis would be better if it showed the video and had a running commentary by this Dr.

    1. Clearly I have indeed seen Bernie speak before. This is definitely in context. During his he was upset and showed his passion and expressed himself and what he wanted to change int he country and what disturbed him and that was reflected in his body language. The context of endorsing someone is quite different. It is a more positive and happy occasion. he smiled only briefly when he was in the background when Hillary spoke. Otherwise he looked sulle, Thus, I stand by my observations.

      1. I concede that you saw him before.
My problem is that this series of stills does not convince me that your assessment is valid. I’ve seen these poses before. I’m suggesting that if you had a running commentary over the video that pointed out the body language at particular times, that it would be more convincing.
Stills are merely a snapshot in time that are far more subjective for the viewer in general.

  19. Dr. Glass- did you ever watch Bernie speak before yesterday? This is how he ALWAYS looks! These have been his facial expressions, body postures and hand gestures in every speech, interview and debate, throughout his entire campaign. I find it interesting that only now is he being interpreted as seeming “angry” and “reluctant”!

    1. No it is not how he always looks as I have closely observed him as I have all the candidates onboth sides. His expressions are congruent with his emotions and his passion. This was supposed to be an occasion where he endorsed someone and in that interaction there are usually smiles. He did have a smile for a brief moment after he stood in the background but it soon faded.

  20. Hillary is a smart and intelligent person. She knew Bernie Sanders was totally never there in the so-called endorsement. I did not need to read Bernie but Hillary was a revelation: she had fear in all the moves she made camouflaging those with an attempt at braggadocio that miserably failed. The karmatic bitch is catchinh up,on her!

And her extended clapping, as if she was trying to cover up the chanting of “Bernie, Bernie” that i imagine were going on!

Wow I agree so much, yes, his BODY LANGUAGE was a DEFINITE tell that he ANGRILY and RELUCTANTLY endorses Hillary Clinton! At least we have his concrete words to live by ❤

  25. Of course we heard from both campaigns that the Clinton Campaign Threatened to withdraw the support they had recently given for his progressive platform agenda. Which may have included $15 an hour minimum wage, and a few other items, in progress, if he did not endorse Clinton. We have also heard they Threatened that his he could not speak at the convention etc, even though officially he is still a candidate, and is still running. This was not a actually freely given endorsement. It was a threat to undermine all the work he has done with the support of over 13 million democratic and countless number of independents (Independents are 43% of registered voters) and with the work on literally 100s of thousands of volunteers and donations from literal millions. They were holding a proverbial knife at his throat and now have withdrawn his secret service protection even though he is still a candidate.

  26. Thanks for publishing this Dr. Glass.

I think that it is very fascinating what body language reveals to that words cannot reveal. Sanders clearly is doing this against his will.

What are your thoughts about the end of the speech? Sanders looks like he is wiping his face – either he is holding back tears, sweat, or perhaps both.

I can see why in the case of Sanders. Clinton is basically the opposite of everything that Sanders stood for and is everything that Sanders sees as wrong with the US. Perhaps body language could be used to determine a politician’s integrity too (ex: do they actually believe in the policies they say they believe in).

On a political note, I am not an American (although I lived in the US for 5 years of my life), and I cannot support Clinton. Indeed, I will be working to get my friends in the US to support Green.

The big reason why you may be facing criticism is that at least a few people here are pro-Clinton. Others appear to be unwilling to read body language and see the implications.

  27. Seriously? I mean the man was running for president. He doesn’t HAVE to love her, or be happy about conceding the position to her. He is allowed to be upset about it. He is also allowed to endorse her, as all progressive Americans should as, by far, the best candidate for the next President of the United States of America. I have absolutely no doubt that he will go to the polls on election day, he will vote, and he will vote for Hillary. Maybe with a small sense of sadness that he isn’t having an opportunity to vote for himself, but also with a sense of gladness that he is voting for another progressive and not for the lunatic madman that the so-called “Grand” Old Party is going to put up.

What is the point of this article? What a complete waste of a few bits on a computer hard drive.

    1. It means everything. He was endorsing a candidate which is a happy occasion and there was no happiness shown only a glimpse of a smile when Hillary was speaking. When he campaigned he showed facial expressions that reflected his upset at certain issues. This was a completely different circumstance and contexts so it means very much.

  30. I find your analysis very interesting, also the comments. Concerning HRC , I agree that she shows some protective gestures, but I also think her face has some gloating in it; she seems to be quite satisfied after BS finished speaking. Now, I’m not American and I do have a bias against HRC as I find her to be manipulative and “fake”, I am simply not able to trust her with power to influence the rest of the world. In fact I find her rather scary. Obviously I will read her more negatively than a supporter. But am I the only one too see her as (at least partly) a self-satisfied gloater?

  31. I am not a Body Language and Communications expert and it was obvious to me that he had great reservations endorsing Hillary and he was in turmoil and stressed out. I felt uncomfortable for Hillary. Him waving his hands up in the air (one of his trademarks, I know) seemed a bit more agitated and Hillary was like flinching once for sure as she almost got hit. That too was obvious. He made her uncomfortable and he was not in my opinion sincere at all. He is still after the nomination for president as he will not concede to her. He was callous in what he said and never meant it. Tongue in cheek is right. Good luck to Bernie as he will need it if he plans (as his supporters are saying) to make a “raucous” at the Democratic :Convention,
