Donald Trump. He was the candidate who appeared to be the most at ease even when difficult questions were thrown his way.
As you can see in this photo he is the only candidate leaning forward which indicated his eagerness and readiness.
His gestures were fluid which reflected his ease on the stage. He did not make any of the mechanical gestures which
many of the politicians made where the thumb and the index finger was pinched. Instead he made gestures which matched
his emotions and what he was saying.
candidate who did this.
Regarding his response to the Megan Kelly question, he handled it well. While there is no dispute that a question about how
Trump feels about women should have been asked, the way in which it was asked was sneaky and inappropriate in my view.
First Megyn starts the question off with a very pleasant face as she looks directly at trump and says One of the things people love about you is that you speak your mind and you don’t use a politician’s filter. ”
Then she says however it is not without it’s downsides particularly when it comes to women. You’ve called women fat pigs, slobs, and disgusting animals.”
Trump then interrupts with stating “Only Rosie O’Donnell” which received a roaring applause from the crowd. And by the way Rose O’Donnell was the one who began the fight with Donald Trump with her name calling and disparaging remarks about his physical appearance. Trump in turn, fought back and mirrored her Toxic name calling.
Megyn Kelly then recounts that Trump said to a Celebrity Apprentice contestant “It would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees” In the first place. the contestant was Brande Roderick who can’t recall this ever being said to her and strongly defends Trump on this matter. ”
Megyn then appears to sneer at Trump as she looks directly at him with narrowed eyes as you can see in this photo above and says in an admonishing tone” Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president?” She doesn’t ask :what do you have to say about this? Instead she attacks his temperament. When Trump subsequently said there was “Blood in her eyes” what he was saying was that she was out for blood and it showed in her eyes. We saw her narrowed eyes on screen, but trump saw her piercing eyes glaring directly at him while she asked the question, so clearly he saw a lot more of the negative emotion coming from Megan than the viewer watching the debate.
Trump was visibly disturbed about her question as he purses his lips and tightens his jaw in anger. Then Megyn in essence associates him with the “War on Women.” Trumps answer was that he has no time to be politically correct and then says how the country has no time to be politically correct as he
made karate chop like gestures to emphasize his point which also reflected his anger and annoyance at the question.
He then shows his palms in an open gesture as he explains that oftentimes what he says is fun and kidding and we have a good time. He then goes on to let Megyn know that he has been nice to her even though she has treated him not so nice and that he said he could not be so nice to her based on the way she has treated him. He also reached out and said he was sorry that she felt that way.
Then after the debate, Trump was true to his word and was not so nice to Megyn as she let everyone know that she had blood coming out of her eyes and had other disparaging things to say about her.
One thing about about Donald Trump which everyone should know from reading his book The Art of the Deal, is that his philosophy is that if someone hits you hard, you hit them back harder. And he did that in business which was one of the key;s to his success and has been doing it with everyone who attacks him, including Megyn Kelly.
And once again to refresh everyone’s memory as I have said throughout my blogs, I am not a political person and have no agenda here as I merely report what I observe from a body language and communication standpoint.
