Bachelorette Andi Dorfman Body Language Real and Refreshing As She is Smitten With Josh

Every time I am asked by the press to do a body language analysis of the Bachelor or the Bachelorette, I often cringe, like I did with last season’s dysfunctional bachelor Juan Pablo. But this season was different with Andi Dorfman. Her body language showed her to be a bright, educated, accomplished attractive, articulate, warm, and sensitive young lady.

She was the most impressive Bachelorette, if not the most impressive reality star seen on television thus far. This is the type of woman we need to be exposed to, not the uneducated, fold mouthed, shallow women like the Kardashian sisters who are only famous because of their promoting mother who is so pathetically desperate to be a star herself and who all shot to fame on the back of Kim’s beyond vulgar sex tape.

Watching how Andi Dorfman handled herself in her quest in finding Mr. Right was very compelling. It was compelling because this was one of the first reality stars who was actually real. She was real with her communication, her words, her affection and with her joy of life.

When the now deceased Eric Hill, the adventurer and her first date called her out on being an actress or phony he was grossly mistaken. This is a man may be rest in peace who was highly competitive as indicated by his chosen lifestyle and lived life on the edge. But his social skills were off. He was awkward. You can even see the awkwardness here in this photo on their first date where he grabs Andi’s behind. She gives him the literal cold shoulder and doesn’t feel comfortable about it.

While they had an exciting first date with  building sand castles, a helicopter ride, and snowboarding in one day,  it no doubt bothered him to see Andi showing affection and interest in the other men.  That  is why I believe he immaturely lashed out on her. Andi set him straight verbally as he exited and was no longer a contender.

It was shocking that he ended up dying after he left the show. When Andi found out she was devastated and felt horrible about their negative interaction. She was sincere and genuine in her grief and expressed remorse for how she handled the situation when he called her an actress. It took someone with a lot of character to be introspective in terms of how she reacted to Eric when he called her out and that has to be respected.

In her quest for finding love, she trusted her emotions her instincts and her intellect gave those whom she thought would be best suited for her a fair chance. she didn’t play games or manipulate as we had seen in the past,

The Bachelors who were left during the home visits were all good men and good choices as she learned about their lifestyle and if she could fit in.

Even though Chris the farmer was very suited for Andi personality wise, physically and temperament wise, the farm life would never work for Andi. Neither would being just a housewife and not having a career.

Marcus was extremely handsome but had a very troubled family, with the exception of his brother who essentially raised him. He has had mother issues in the past and this may surface in the future. Also they don’t seem to be as connected as she is with Bachelor Josh and Bachelor Nick.

Nick was impressive to Andy because he was a take charge guy. This was very appealing to Andi who is a take charge woman. He was enterprising much to the disdain of the other Bachelors. He was confident which made him very appealing to Andi, a confident woman. This biggest mistake was that he shared too much with the other Bachelors who cast him as the villain. He needed to keep his views to himself, but of he did it wouldn’t have made as good television as it was. In my view there was nothing villainous about Nick. He went for it. He asked and he received. He had more time with Andi and she loved it. They seemed to be on the same plane intellectually, emotionally, and physically. But Andi had reservations when she learned about how others reacted towards him and how they found him arrogant and cocky. The fact that she brought it to his attention and communicated about it was admirable in my view.
It was clear from Andi’s by language that she was not comfortable with his large family and even less comfortable with his lifestyle and polka dancing.
She quickly realized he wasn’t for her and it showed in her voice and face and body language. He was also a little too slick and this would not bode well for Andi in the long run and she needs to be in control. There would be a lot of vying for power in the relationship if they were together as a couple.

You could feel the chemistry on the screen when you saw both Andi and Josh’s bright smiles gleaming at one another. They are both smitten with one another. Personality wise Josh is exactly what Andi needs- a low key man who worships her and who is easy on the eye. He definitely respects her and would welcome her take charge attitude.
In my view this is a perfect match. She seems a lot brighter than him and that is a good thing as he seems to know it as well. He looks up to her and follows her lead.
While she and Josh are compatible enough to live happily ever after there are a few problems I saw with his family.

Andi and his mother may have a problem with one another in the long haul.  Andi will want those apron strings cut and his mom will not allow it. Hence there will be a lot of conflict unless the mother relents. The father expects Andi and Josh to come to all of Aaron’s game sas he let Andi know this . Her facial expression showed she was not too happy about it.

Andi did not sign up for being second fiddle to anyone as we saw throughout the episodes. While she may be number one with Josh, she will not be number one in that family and that will be hard for her. Even though Andi is athletic this is a family of jocks who’s lives will now focus around brother Aaron’s football career. They are clearly not interested in Josh’s love life when compared to Aaron’s football career and would be less interested in Andi and Josh’s baby as a priority, unless the child showed some athletic prowess early on.

But as for Andi and Josh I think they will make a great couple only if Josh is willing to man up and cut the umbilical cord from his family.

Andi was impressive, She wants to make this work so much that she gave  up her career as a district attorney to commit to a marriage and start a family. I respect that she has her priorities straight in her mind and knows what she wants and what is right for her.

I do think that Andi would have a great career on television as a host of some legal show like something on HLN. She is articulate, easy on the eye, real, not over the top and compelling to watch.
