Jodi Arias Smiles, Flirts, and Kisses and Laughs In Recent Courtoom Appearance
June 24, 2013

ImageJodi Arias  first arrived in the courtroom wearing a very sullen expression. She was not wearing her glasses which were  previously her apparent prop which she used to try and sway the jury that she was just an average abuse vicitim and not a femme fatale. Her eyes looked a bit sunken and her complexion was pale.

She was expressionless as she sat down. But then she turned  to the back of the courtroom  to look at who was in the  audience. She clearly recognized someone who made her smile . She even  puckered up and gave the person a kiss.

Image

First we see her pursing her lips as she strains to locate the person as she eyes those seated in back of her in the courtroom.

Image

Then she recognizes  the person and makes eye contact  with them and proceeds to exhibit a genuine smile with her cheeks raised, teeth showing,  and eyes squinted. This indicates she is really happy to see the person.

Image

She knows she shouldn’t be doing what she is doing . Hence you see her pursing her lips as she tries to surpress her excitement and happiness at seeing the person. But her eyes continue to smile.

Image

She continues to look at the person as she unpurses her lips. Says OK .

Image

Now we see her puckering up in a kissing motion.

Image

She  then turns away and laughs to herself as she is quite self satisfied in terms of what she has done in giving an air  kiss to someone in the back of the  courtroom.

Image

She continues to smile  a genuine smile as she turns away from the person. You can see her raised cheeks and squinted eyes which indicates she is very happy with herself.

The question is with whom was Jodi  flirting? Was it one of her male or female admirers? Was it her one loyal male friend who has supported and defended her ? Was it her female friend who has tweeted  on her behalf? Was it someone new? I doubt that it was her mother or father based on her strained relationship with them in the past.

Jodi is  most likely receiving support if not love letters from disturbed thinking fans out there. Perhaps the person to whom she was smiling and flirting with and to whom she gave an air kiss to was one of those  disturbed suitors.

While Jodi was happy that she was able to get some personal attention in the courtroom, this may be one of the last times she gets away with it. When she is locked up in prison for life or on death row, there will be nothing to smile  about and no one to share a laugh.

Jodi Arias Worst Punishment Isolation Not Life or Death With Her Narcissistic and Entitled Personality
May 26, 2013

Image

There appears to be a great deal of upset with jurors in the Jodi Arias case for not coming to a conclusion as to wether she lives or dies. While there appears to be somewhat of a gladiator mindset with those who are not on the jury championing life, while others champion death for Jodi, these two options will not have as much impact on Jodi as being isolated and away from other human beings will have more of a punishing effect on her based on her personality type.

Her not having mountains of mail to keep her busy and occupied, her not making daily calls to her friend to tweet for her, her only being allowed two books every two weeks if she is lucky, her lack of having access to a pen or writing  or drawing materials, will be devastating enough to her psyche.

But even more devastating will be her lack of contact with others both on the outside and on the inside of her prison life. For someone who thrives on attention, manipulation, and for someone who feels so entitled who needs to be in control, the mere essence of who she is will no doubt  be destroyed.

While it was recently  appalling to see Jodi control and micromanage the media and the reporters who sniveled  at her feet just to get her to talk in an interview, we gained a great deal of insight as to who she is and how she thinks. She clearly intimidated almost every single reporter who spoke to her, She was the one in control. She loved it. She demanded that they only film her above the waist without her jailhouse stipes and pink socks and shackles showing. She insisted that she apply makeup and lipgloss and not be filmed doing those things or combing or fluffing up her hair.

  1. Image

The ONLY reporter with any guts and professionalism was ABC’s Ryan Owen who shot video of her in her jail garb and asked real hard hitting questions instead of those meaningless namby pamby candy coated questions his colleagues asked.

In doing so, Ryan’s questions brought out another side of  REAL Jodi as she exposed the flash of hate and anger that Travis Alexander may have seen right before he was so brutally attacked and massacred.

Image

Gone was Jodi’s sickening sweet melifluous tone. Gone was Jodi’s plastered fake smile. Now her eyes opened wide in anger, her  jaw dropped,  her head jerked back as she was literally taken aback by Ryan Owen’s direct non nonsense not sugar coated approached. She retaliated by calling him a “hater.”

With the exception of Ryan Owen’s interview Jodi LOVED LOVED LOVED all of the attention. She LOVED bossing all the media around and setting up her rules and regulations . She LOVED asserting her control over them. But the one time she couldn’t control like we saw in her reaction with Ryan owen, she fought back and fought as hard as she could under the circumstances by calling him a “Hater”.

When Jodi did not get her way, she fought. That is what happened with Travis. She wanted to control Travis and have him marry her. She did all she could to make that happen from accompanying him on trips to ironically fulfill his “1000 places to see before you die”  goal, converting to Mormonism for him, and  indulging him in his sex fantasies and sex play. She thought she could easily control him with sex and eventually wear him down and have him succumb to her greatest  desire which was to be his wife.

So when she completely lost control, that rage and anger  of which we saw a glimpse in Ryan Owen’s interview, no doubt surfaced and all the anger of  this “sickeningly sweet  silent  but deadly erupting volcano”  came boiling up to the surface and exploded. AS a result of her built up rage, she ended up stabbing Travis 27 times and shooting him.

She thought she could control and manipulate Travis  with some great sex and that they would be back together as a couple. But that was not the case. Instead, he gladly enjoyed the sex  with her, but then told her he was taking another girl  on a trip to Mexico.

It was all too much for Jodi to hear. She lost control so did the only thing she could to gain back her control – literally destroying Travis three times over. Her intention in driving all those miles was to see if she could control Travis, one last time. if not, she was prepared to make sure no one else had Travis if she couldn’t have him.

The jury forman in his interview made some disparaging remarks about Travis. He said he believed  Travis had emotionally and mentally abused Jodi.  Travis was certainly  no angel. The jury forman was right in his assessment that Travis  did emotionally abuse her by continuing to have sex with her while he had no intention of marrying her and while dating other women in order to seek out a wife. This diminished  Jodi’s ego and sense of self to the point  that her built up anger overcame her and that she felt she had no choice other than to literally destroy Travis.

Jodi’s personality is such that when she cannot control something or someone she lashes out and destroys and that is what she did to Travis.

There is a very enlightening You tube video called “Jodi Arias Rose Colored Glasses” by a former prison deputy Warden in the  Arizona Prison system. named Carl ToersBijns

He states that Jodi will have absolutely NO CONTROL whatsoever in the prison system to start reading, language, recycling and hair donation programs like she told the jurors. She said in his video that the physical conditions alone in the Perryville prison are so harsh that many inmates die or commit suicide. He reports that Jodi will have no contact at all with others and will be looking at four walls 23 hours a day with no letters or books to keep her mind occupied.

Based on the deputy warden’s video, Jodi will be facing isolation with no human contact  for at least at least five years before she will be allowed with others. That is only of she shows good behavior. But as the deputy warden says, many find the intense heat and the extreme isolation too much to take so they often kill themselves.

When Jodi realizes that there is no inmate contact, that no one set her straight about her not being able to start prison  reading or language programs, that she won’t be able to draw or color, that she won’t be in the general population for at least five years,  that she can only read 2 books a month only if the staff has time to take her to the library, that all  her mail will not be delivered, that she has NO CONTROL over anything, it may be too much for her to bear and she may welcome death as so many prisoners do.

If she gets life, these conditions will be immensely unbearable for her personality type. Even if she happens to make it to the point that she will see other prisoners after her five years of isolation, she will be such a mental mess that she will not be able to endure the taunting that the Deputy Warden talks about in his video. If she displays that arrogant,”I am a celebrity”  or “I am better than you” attitude, uses her big worded vocabulary to show off, speaks in her precise, hyper-articulate, staccato unnatural tone,  or shows any sense entitlement she may be beaten up so severely  or even  killed by other prisoners.

This time around,  with the new jury deciding whether she lives or dies, Jodi’s lawyers  may want to give her a reality check and tell her there are no prison programs in Perryville she can control or start up. They may want to do the right thing by her even though they can’t  stand her and have her  put her narcissistic desire for attention on the back burner and shut up .

Pleading for her life may have been Jodi’s biggest mistake. It made the jury think twice about her fate, especially when she provided them with more BS about what she would do in a maximum security system.

Based on what we now know will be the conditions she will fave in Perryville, she needs to plead death or keep her mouth shut and let the jury decide without her influence.  But  that won’t be possible as her desire for control and  center stage is too great.

Jodi Arias Body Language As Mistrial Declared Shows Shock, Hurt, Relief, and Frustration
May 24, 2013

Image

As Jodi Arias is about to learn her fate as to  whether she was to  live or die it is essential to note how  she is dressed and how she  has  arranged her hair. With the exception of her pony tail, her hair do was similar  her court  minder who sat by her side whenever her attorneys left the defense  table for a sidebar  with the Judge.  Jodi copied the woman’s style with her hair in back of her ears  wearing bangs in front. Gone are the phony librarian glasses we saw throughout the trial.

Her copying this woman’s  style once again shows evidence of Jodi’s adhesive personality, whereby she takes on the likes or identity or style of others. With her own attorney,  Jennifer Wilmott  (when they were on better terms) you would see Jodi wearing similar colors and styles to her female attorney. She even took on  Ms. Wilmott’s posture and demeanor as she perused documents and took notes. She did the same thing with collapsing Travis’ identity with his Mormon faith as part of her own. She even remarked that the reason she smiled for her mug shot was because she thought “that’s what Travis would do.”

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.16.53 AM

When she finds out that there is a hung jury and that there will be a mistrial she immediately shuts her eyes as if to process what she just heard.

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.17.02 AMThen you continue to see her processing the information while her attorney Jennifer Wilmott begins to show visible signs of surprise and anger based on her facial tension and tension around her eyes.

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.17.18 AMNow Jodi  begins to show signs of upset as she processed that the jury  did not give her life which she believed that they would, but instead sent her a clear message  that they couldn’t decide whether she should live or dies. She looks hurt due to the fact that there were some members of the jury who could even think about putting her to death.

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.18.49 AMNow we see that she is not only surprised but beginning to get upset with the findings because it means there were some jury members who didn’t believe her claim about being abused and killing in self defense. She also begins to realize that she will have to do her little ” and dance  act” all over again. It is as though she is nonverbally saying “Oh my God not again.”

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.19.08 AM

She doesn’t release her hand from her face as now it is  a form of self comforting and self support as she sadly listens to each juror speak . There is an expression of hurt as she hears each juror speak the same words and no doubt feels “betrayed ” by them. She spoke of feeling betrayed by them in the ABC interview. Now we see the visible physical facial expressions reflecting her perceived betrayal. Her  shoulders are rounded as she appears defeated.

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.19.58 AMShe cannot move her hand from the side of her face as she continues to listen to the jurors.  There is a lot of facial tension around her lower jaw as she looks as though she is emotionally hurt and as though she could cry any second. Her potential tears are clearly due to he feeling that the jury did her wrong.

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.20.11 AM

Her hand moves over her mouth indicating that she is literally “speechless” at what is happening. The tension around her eyes have relaxed more as she realizes that this may not be such a bad thing. She doesn’t have to go to death row now and be in isolation for the rest of her life. Now she has more time before she leaves the jail and heads to prison. Most of all she’ll remain in the limelight for a lot longer with all the attention paid to her, thus feeding her insatiable narcissism.

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.20.30 AM

She scratches  and presses down on her midface region, nasal bridge, and inner portion of her closed eyelids  as a  way of releasing the pent up emotional pressure. It is a signal of relief. She is relieved she wasn’t sentenced to death (at least not yet).

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.18.30 AMBut for the Alexander family, not seeing her sentenced to death for what she did to their brother was devastating as his sister immediately broke down in sobs.

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.19.30 AMThe same was true for his other sisters,  while  both his his brother and brother in law showed visible signs of anger with clenched jaws and furrowed brows.  For them it was as though al this effort to seek justice for their brother who had his throat slit and who was killed so shockingly by Jodi,  was done for nothing. Apparently some of the jurors mouthed the words “I’m sorry”” to this distraught family. But to the Alexander family, these were empty words. They were the ones that were sorry that they weren’t in the courtroom seeing Jodi sentenced to die.

To the family, there is only one logical conclusion and that is death for Jodi. But that was not the case with the jurors. The lack of  the Alexander’s family wish for a  death sentence and now their  lack of closure will have severe emotional repercussions on this family until they  return to the courtroom and once again in July to still see  their brother’s monster murderess.

Following this hung jury’s dismissal from the courtroom, the Jury Forman  William Zervakos spoke to the press. He  said that  be believed Travis Alexander verbally and emotionally abused Jodi Arias. That is a shock to many who did not believe this to be the case. No doubt other jurors fell for this  line fo thinking. Otherwise they would have all  quickly agreed that she deserved to die by lethal needle.

The judge showed frustration with the jury as she read that it was a mistrial as reflected by her letting out a huge burst of air, resulting in a huge sigh before she spoke , which is a clear signal of frustration and exasperation  on her part. . There is no doubt that this trial took it’s toll on her too, since  she always had to be on her toes throughout the trial to make sure a mistrial would not be the result of anything she did. This must have been extremely  taxing on her psyche .

Now there will be  a new group of jurors to assist in deciding Jodi’s fate. For the next 2 1/2/ months, Jodi will sit in a cell 23 hours a day and do no media. This may be her worst punishment yet.

Jodi Arias Media Interviews Full of Contradictions, Deception, Anger, and Narcissism As ABC Reporter Confronts Her and Is Called A Hater
May 23, 2013

First she wanted to die and now she wants to live. Then she comes up with a list of what she will do in prison to be productive and of service to others. This includes growing her hair for Locks of Love, teaching illiterate prisoners reading, teaching spanish, and  starting a recycling program. Then in her interviews she states that she has never been to prison so she doesn’t really know what she will be allowed and not allowed to do.

Image

In all of her interviews  her vanity and narcissism showed. First fo all  it is interesting to note that she no longer wears glasses or bangs as we have all seen throughout the trial. This was no doubt an attempt to manipulate the jury into not viewing her as the blond bombshell.

Image

But now , she  has on lip gloss and has restyled her hair without bangs. Although she insisted she didn’t want to be videotaped primping and fixing her hair or wearing striped pants, ABC News would have none of her shenanigans and did a set up shot of her with her striped prison pants.

She was LOVING all of the attention on each of the media venues . She was relishing in the attention as indicated by her completely different demeanor in terms of her body language. When asked about her enjoyment for the media attention she leaked out a smile (duping delight)  as she denied it. Instead, she tried to spin another yarn that she was serving as a spokesperson and poster girl  for other victims of abuse.

Most of the interviewers  were very gentle with her in their attempts to garner her cooperation and a good interview. But the ABC reporter Ryan Owens was the only one who called it like it is and  was super direct and didn’t fall for her manipulation.

Image

She was surprised at the ABC  reporter’s questions. His first question to her was why didn’t she apologize to Travis’ family. Look at how defensive and angry  she looks after hearing the question from the ABC reporter.  Look at the glare in her eyes and her pursed lips. She knew full well that she didn’t  directly apologize to Travis’ family. In fact there is no doubt she  purposely did not say she was sorry because she is not sorry about what she did to Travis (her alleged abuser). She is  only sorry she got caught and that her freedoms were taken away.

It is also important to note that when she said to the reporter that she did apologize to Travis’ family, you could see a shoulder shrug- a clear signal of deception in this context.

The reporter then says  to Jodi. ” No one believes a word out of your mouth so why do you keep talking?”

Image

She is shocked at the question as he eyes widen and he mouth is left agape. She continues to glare at the reporter as she defensively  answers “I’ve lied before.  That doesn’t mean I am a liar by definition by character.”  Sorry Jodi, you have lied so many times that  you are indeed a LIAR by definition and by character. Here we can see how her thought pattern is functioning  which is also is so indicative of the illogical way in which  sociopaths think.

Image

We then see Aria’s anger surfacing again as she looks away and tenses her lips as she says she feels betrayed by the jury. She then lies as she says ” I don’t dislike them.” Her voice dies off at the end of this statement which is a signal of deception as was her shoulder shrug. Of course she dislikes them.  They didn’t fall for her manipulation.

Image

Here we see Jodi leak out her viciousness in terms of her facial expression as she knows she has been manipulating the public by first saying she wanted to die and now saying she wanted to live. She then smugly asks the reporter “Was I lying when I said I wanted to die or lying when I said I wanted to live?”

I believed that her initial interview where she claimed she wanted to die, was pure manipulation, based on how she spoke vocally and the choice of her words.

Image

Once again we see Jodi’s anger resurfacing as the reporter says that Travis’ family wants her dead. She then leans forward and juts out her jaw in anger to the reporter and says “What do you mean , why don’t I kill myself”

Image

The ABC reporter then asks her the brilliant question , if she was on that jury and heard what she heard, “would  you kill you?” Jodi is taken aback and liiterally leans back as she tightens her jaw looks away and tries to come up with an answer. She sighs a huge breath indicating that she is very affected by the poignancy of this question. She swallows hard and the pitch of her voice goes up indicating tension and making it sound as though she is answering with a question mark , as she says  “I don’t believe in Capital punishment?”

Image

So the answer would be “no”. She then leaks out a smirk and closed off her tense throat muscles as she creaks out a “no”. This creak is a signal of deception. I think this quesition hit her hard as we see multiple signals of stress. In her heart of hearts she does believe that she deserves the death sentence for this crime.

The fact that she said that it was her cousin’s words that hit home and made her want to live is nonsense considering her cousin wasn’t a steady presence in the courtroom and  the fact that she refused to giver her cousin’s name out. I do not  think Jodi ever wanted the death sentence. I think she wanted life all along and this was just another lie and another manipulative ploy.

Ryan Owen then says to Jodi ” So you are never going to tell the truth about what went on in  that bathroom” as he doubts her story of self defense.

Image

Jodi is literally taken aback by the question as she jolts her head backwards and tenses her jaw in anger as she says “I don’t know what you mean by that.” in essence Ryan Owen has caught her in her lie and she is responding via her defensive and angry body language.

Image

She then angrily glares at Ryan and then says that she told the truth. She attacks him by saying “I didn’t know you were such a hater when you came to interview me.”

Now we see the REAL Jodi Arias and how she can turn on a dime when things don’t go her way. We saw how  the hate  came out of  her. No longer do we hear that sickening sweet vocal tone which masks her hidden rage.

Image

We see evidence of her continued anger as masked via sarcasm when Ryan Owen asks her about her image makeover from blond bombshell to church mouse librarian look. She smugly replies that’ they don’t sell Clairol hair dye in jail”. In the photo above you can see her phony smile with non raised cheeks and unsmiling eyes and tense mouth as she says this.

She then leaks out the word “crazy as she says that it is a court of law and not a place to go “crazy or let loose.”

Those words reveal exactly what Jodi did to Travis. In  a fit of jealousy. she went “crazy” by  killing him three times over.

Kudos to Ryan Owen for his hard hitting no nonsense questions which hit Jodi to the core and made her leak out her true colors via her   body language , voice ,and speech patterns.

Jodi Arias Body Language As She seeks Mercy Was Non Emotional, Non Apologetic, Self Absorbed, and Contradicted Her Testimony
May 21, 2013

Screen Shot 2013-05-21 at 10.58.03 AMWhen I  the saw Jodi Arias interview right after she was found guilty of First Degree Murder requesting death, it was obvious to me that she wasn’t believing a word of what she was saying based on her body language, facial expression and voice quality and measured speech pattern.

In my view, it was a ploy and yet another one of her manipulative mind games to say ” I want you to kill me” in hopes that the jury would do exactly  the opposite and not grant her satisfaction of yet one more time in getting what she wanted. It was also her way of taking control, just  in case she was given the death penalty by saying that is what SHE wanted all along.

As Jodi spoke to the court to try and plead her case as to why she should be given life, she spoke in a cold  nonemotional, non heartfelt tone.  her posture was extremely erect with her hed up. There was an air of arrogance surrounding her.  Her speech pattern was mechanical and stacatto.

When Jodi gave a slide show of her happy family all together for celebratory events it completely contradicted her testimony of being an abused victim in her home. If she was so abused why would she show up for the photo shoots and be all smiles at family functions? This did not help her credibility with the jurors.

She even spoke about her family being the reason why she should not have the death penalty. When she spoke of her father crying for the first time, this also did not seem to ring true. No doubt her father was crying his entire life over the antics his daughter demonstrated. Maybe his tears were silent but no doubt Jodi’s actions brought him much sadness throughout the years.

When she spoke it was as though she was  victim by stating that now she can never be a mother and that her nieces will be as close as she will get to becoming a mother.

She said  that up until a few weeks ago she had to give up hope that she would ever become a mother. That statement spoke volumes. It showed how she actually did believe the jury would NEVER convict her.

She also mentioned how she wanted to AVOID trial. This is another lie. if she wanted to avoid trial she needed to plead guilty and take her sentence.

She admitted to the jurors that she preferred death but now she saw there were options like all the charitable work she would do in prison from giving up her hair to “Locks of Love” to teaching illiterate inmates how to read. The first thing many jurors may be thinking is ” who would want hair from a murderer?”  As far as teaching inmates how to read, with her arrogant. superior attitude and narcissim, her fellow inmates may not take very well to having her as their teacher or instructor. She mentioned other charitable ventures she wanted to pursue in prison with a leaked out smile as though she was looking forward to these ventures.

The reality may be that she may be spending all her time in prison taking care of herself as in the general population she will no doubt be a target for those who may want to pick a fight with her or damage her in order to make a name for themselves because she is so public. Maybe she will be able to have fellow inmates who will be her protectors. Maybe she will pay for their help with her commissary goods or with her artwork.

The reality is also that Jodi will be giving a lot of interviews behind bars which will keep her busy throughout the years and feeding into her ego. She will also be writing or co-writing books, selling her artwork and spending her time drawing and coloring (which she loves doing). She may even make some prison friends by  drawing portraits of them. Jodi will always have cash in her commissary account as she will always make money.

She may even find romance behind bars. She may  also have  disturbed suitors from all over the world who may want to marry her, like Casey Anthony experienced. And like Susan Atkins, a Charles Manson follower who spent her life in prison, she may even marry behind bars.

In any event, Jodi Arias’ life may be fulfilled if she is granted life behind bars with growing her hair, watching TV,  teaching reading and spanish to inmates, drawing, coloring, writing, media interviews, and having some sort of love life.

Travis  on the other hand will have none of these things. The photo of him naked and vulnerable in the shower haunts me as  I am sure it will haunt many of the jurors.  Here is where many believe that an “eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth’ may be the solution as  jurors may realize that Travis can’t give to charity,  watch TV, or do media interviews, or teach, or have a love life ever again. Whether or not he was an angel, he didn’t deserve to be killed  so horrifically.

By Jodi sharing  what she CAN do while she is still alive, it magnifies what Travis CAN’T do now that he is dead.Perhaps the jury will see this as they make their final decision as to whether she lives or dies. The fact that she didn’t give a heartfelt apology to what she did to Travis and look directly at his family and apologize to them  may have sealed her fate.

Jodi Arias’ Newly Surfaced Post Interrogation-Video Shows Narcissism,Laughing, Sighing, Self Soothing Body Language
March 15, 2013

Image

A tape of Jodi Arias surfaced following her police interrogation in 2008. In it she covers her face with her hair as you see above. She is highly conscious of her looks.

Image

She grooms herself as she speaks to her self out loud. She  can be heard saying “Jodi you should have put on your makeup. ” She appears to be very concerned about her makeup and her appearance for a number of reasons. Apparently Jodi has gotten by on her looks for a very long time. perhaps in her sick mind, she thought that if she looked her best all made up, the police officer would believe her and let her go because she looked so good. In essence she is thinking that if she looked good  all made up she could seduce him into letting her go.

This shows how self oriented and narcissistic and completely deluded Jodi Arias was.

Image

We  see her in a confident pose with hands in back of her head. This indicates she is clearly not taking what is about to happen to her seriously. She is confident that she will be released and her body language shows this.

Image

We also see her looking up and laughing. She has absolutely no remorse about what she did to Travis. She also laughs at no doubt thinking she will outsmart law enforcement whom she thinks  will release her. She is showing an extreme example of duping delight.

Image

She also sings about “memories” in her contest winning voice. The reason for is is self soothing, She is doing something to calm herself down and to get her mind off of the reality that will soon  face her. It is  a form of self soothing behavior.

Screen Shot 2013-03-15 at 10.51.51 AM

Jodi even looks up at one point an sighs as though this is a big inconvenience for her.

Image

Her rifling through the garbage can is also very telling. It speaks to her sneakiness and trying to get the edge over  a situation. Perhaps she is thinking she can find a paper related to her with information that she can spin her way. In looking at this one can only imagine how she may have rifled through Travis’ garbage or his emails to get an edge over him with more information.

Screen Shot 2013-03-15 at 10.21.59 AM

Finally we see her doing a head stand, which she does with ease. It is once again her way of dealing with all the pent up energy in her system. Even though she is not showing it outwardly, inwardly, there is a lot of anxiety beginning to surface. Once again it reflects her self soothing behavior.

At this point Jodi firmly believes in her mind  that she will get away with murder. But her body language says otherwise.

It must have come to a huge shock to her moments later when she was booked and taken into custody.

Jodi Arias Mother’s Body Language Shows Disrespect in the Courtroom and Hostility Towards Jodi
March 5, 2013

Image

Jodi Arias’s mother sits each day in the courtroom with another woman who looks similar to her. The reason they look so similar is that they are twin sisters.

But what these twins are doing in the courtroom is not helping Jodi. They are laughing and chucking with one another as though they are sharing inside jokes. This is very disrespectful  and is not helping Jodi in terms of jury perception.

The rest of the time her mother is looking non reactive or hostile as she gazes ahead to look at Jodi. Juries do look at family members. They see how family members react , if they are present , and how they behave.

The mother doesn’t look over at Jodi with any loving look. When there are salacious sexual details out of Jodi’s mouth as the camera pans to her, there is no emotional reaction. It is a though she is watching paint dry on a wall.

The only emotional reaction is when she is laughing with her sister. Does she think this trial is a big jok?. Or is she secretly happy Jodi finally got what she deserved for  possibly being such a bad daughter in her view. Ther eis clearly some deep seated hostility between them.

There does not seem to be any love lost between the two of them. Perhaps  her mother is angry for Jodi for either revealing the family  beating secrets or  for lying about  being beaten by her mother.

In the courtroom  Jodi said how she was severely beaten as a child by  both her mother and father as she said “ Life was ideal up until I was aged seven. Parents would spank us and around seven-years old it started getting more intense.”

Just as a note most abusive parents dont start spanking at age 7. They do it way before that time, so this statement seems like a lie to me.

Then Jodi continues, ‘My dad started using a belt.My mom began to carry a wooden spoon on her purse.”It was a wooden kitchen spoon and if we misbehaved she would use it on my brother and I, she would hit us hard with it.’It left welts on my body.“Dad didn’t leave welts as often as my mom – she also used a belt. “

In my view this last statement was way too much information about her dad and the welts which also make me question how truthful she was being. Also belts leave welts so one again she appears to me to be lying.

Then Jodi adds, My dad was quite intimidating so didn’t need to use strength to get his point across. My mother did.’

Now here is where it is very revealing concerning Jodi and her mother’s relationship. Jodi was asked in court if she loved her mother, She  took a pause and quietly responded, ‘yes’.

That quiet yes, and the pause says it all. It shows  ambivalence. It wasn’t a loud yes or a yes that could be heard but a quiet yes. It spoke  loud volumes about their relationship.

Jodi a;sp talked at length about the relationship she had with her parents growing up and claimed she was subjected to beatings.

‘They were intense and increased in frequency as I got older,’ Jodi  said. ‘I don’t recall how many times a week but it could be any thing from four times a week to once every two weeks.‘I didn’t like being hit so I would squirm around a little but the more we did the harder we would get hit.

‘My mother broke my brother’s hand once when he tried to block one of her blows. As I got into a teenager, my dad would get rougher and rougher.

So here is where she contradicts herself regarding the beatings. First she says her dad was just intimidating anf didn’t need to use strength to get his point across and then she says he got rougher and rougher.

She added: ‘When I was younger I remember feeling betrayed and confused that my mother was beating me.’As I got older it made me mad and I didn’t get why she was punishing me. I was mad at her and it hurt. I loved her but it put a strain on our relationship.”

Her adding I loved her was once again too much information and when she used the word BUT and said it put a strain on their relationship, it clearly shows her ambivalence towards her mother.  The she goes on to say

‘My dad never beat me with his fist – he would just shove me into furniture and the piano, tables, desk, chairs, whatever was around. One time I even passed out. This was when I was 16 or 17. Not as often with my dad as with my mom. If I did something to upset them it would happen. Sometimes I got grounded. I loved my father even when he was beating me.’

Again this contracts what she said earlier about her father not using force to make his point. So now we she he used so much force that Jodi passed out. Again it appears to me that she is lying. When she said  I loved mu father– it was in the past tense which is significant as well. It also showed her ambivalence that she loved her father even when he was beating me.”

She then  told the packed courtroom that the beatings continued throughout high school. She also stated  that one night she snuck out at night with friends and when her parents woke up and found out, she said her father hit her across the face, knocking her to the ground.

Once again it shows how she lied earlier about her father not using force. Knocking someone to the ground takes a lot of foce.

Following the end of the relationship with a young man Jodi moved in with, she said that she moved in with her grandparents after she broke up with the boyfriend  because she did not want to return to the abusive atmosphere of her parents’ house.

While Jodi is full of lies, this may be something that may ring true. She may have had problems with her parents for whatever reason.

The one thing that we have seen for sure is that there is no loving relationship between Jodi and her mother.

When  Jodi’s mother isn’t busy laughing with her sister or having no visible facial reaction to Jodi, she is taking copious notes- maybe she’s keeping a journal as well.

Image

Perhaps the mother  is plannig to write a tell all book telling us how awful Jodi was as a daughter, what a liar she wall all her life and how she  lied about being hit by her as this mother  cashes in on her daughter’s infamy.

Jodi Arias’ Body Language- Her Cockiness, Newly Resonant Voice and Smug Facial Expressions May Make her A Dead Woman Walking
February 22, 2013

Image

I have held off on writing about Jodi Arias until I had something significant to say. But  after watching  her on the stand  for eight days  and listening to her sickeningly sweet phony vocal tones and watching one signal of deception after another I have something to say. Today the REAL Jodi showed up on the stand and I am here to talk about it. .

I have always said in my books that you MUST  beware of anyone that has a sickening sweet soft spoken voice, where  you can barely hear them at times. I have said they are phonies  and  you must RUN because there is a lot of built up anger and hostility that this type of voice pattern masks. Now here is  living proof  of what I have been talking about in the Jodi Arias trial. She went from meek mouse tone to roaring lion tone as she displayed cockiness and anger toward the prosecutor.

This is Not good for her because juror swill clearly see the REAL Jodi as they

Image

will get a glimpse of her anger and what she must have been like around Travis. They will see how she could turn on him on a dime. They can now see her anger up close and personal.

Image

The jury also  also saw her lying first hand. Prosecutors had her hold her up her hand. Her finger was bent . She said it got that way months before Travis’ death as he abused her.

Image

Then the prosecutor showed a photo of her after Travis was killed and the hand was not  bent. It was a photo taken allegedly months after he beat her.

She sat there and LIED in front of everyone that her finger was bent. There was no way her finger was bent as anyone with eyes could see that.  This is yet another nail in her coffin towards the death penalty.

The prosecutor asked her about her memory and when it fails he and she look aways and said “Usually when men like you are screaming

at me or grilling me or someone like Travisdoing the same.

That was a BAD move on Jodi’s part as she just lost her “sympathy” vote from any of the jurors who are gullible enough to have previously fallen for her poor me victim testimony.

Her nasty retort was anything but victim like. It was a dig at the prosecutor  and it  will in my estimation but another nail in her coffin.

Image

Then he asks so that affects your memory. Her she shows DUPING DELIGHT where there is a  slight smile on her face as she says “Yes that makes my brain scramble.”

Her slight smile which leaked out showed she was happy she felt she got a dig into the prosecutor and compared him to Travis. But what this stupid woman doesn’t realize is that it may have cost her  her life . It  may have angered jurors that she painted the prosecutor with the same brush she painted Travis. The jurors saw how he asked her  simple question about her memory and now she took it to a level  of  indirectly accusing the prosecutor of verbally abusing her.

Image

Her  smiling during  the prosecution’s questioning is not good either. There is NOTHING to smile about when a man has been brutally  killed  like Travis was and when her life is on the line. Jurors will pick that up and it will be a turn off to them. Perhaps she has been conditioned by others that her smile gets her what she wants. But it certainly won’t be the case here. Her smile for the first time in her life will work against her.

Will Jodi die by lethal needle?  Usually  it is reserved for people who have  killed  their children or spouses  or a both, or a parent,  in Arizona like the three women  who are already on death row there.  Each of these women also sought to benefit financially from the death where Jodi did not. So Jodi’s cases a little different in that regard.

However given the brutality of the murder that the jurors  were forced to see, Jodi’s lies from the past and witnessing her lies right in front of their eyes with regard to her finger, her smugness, and her belligerent attitude with the prosecutor, Jodi Arias may very well be joining these three woman.

It is a myth that because a woman is pretty she won’t get the death sentence. One woman who was on death row and  executed in Texas was quite beautiful and could pass as a Kardashian with her long brown hair, dark eyes, olive skin, and pretty features.

All three women who are on  Arizona’s death row are attractive. So it  shows that looks really don’t  matter these days as far as the death penalty is concerned.

Actually Jodi is doing all she can to not be attractive with her greasy hair limp hair, no makeup, and glasses in her attorney’s or a jury consultant’s misguided coaching to have her not look like a sexy bombshell she looked like in the photos with Travis.

Was Travis and angel? Far from it! Was he a hypocrite with regard to his Mormon religion which doesn’t believe in premarital sex. Yes. Was he a jerk in that he used  Jodi for sex and wanted to marry a decent Momon girl. Yes. Did he give her mixed messages? You bet . But did he deserve to die in such a brutal way? No way!

If the man was wet and naked it made him even more vulnerable and juror will pick that up. Even if he did get mad at her for dropping the camera  and she claims she killed him in self defense. It was OVERKILL which means she despised him and most likely planned this attack at one point or another.  Maybe it was a fantasy that ran through in her mind from time to time for how awful he treated her. But the fact that she executed it with such force  shows the built up anger and hate she was harboring towards him.

That leads me back to her voice. The voice mirrors what goes on in your head and your heart as Galen the Greek philosopher once said. Jody hand a lot of rage and anger in her heart and it was clearly mirrored in her voice until it was unleashed today by the prosecutor.

Jodi Arias’ Body Language May Do Her In
January 3, 2013

On opening day of Jodi Aria’s trial, she  “cried” when the prosecutor spoke of her alleged evil deeds in stabbing her boyfriend 27 times and slashing his throat and then shooting him in the head. She also “cried” when her defense lawyer said that  her acts we in self defense. But the crying she did for  both  the prosecution and defense’s arguments  looked like what you see in the above photo, She hid her face and looked down.

That type of body language will not bode well for a jury because it looked fake and manipulative.

Screen Shot 2013-01-03 at 4.23.17 AMThere has  been a lot of talk  that because Jodi Arias is so attractive, a jury will not convict her or give her the death penalty. There is a lot of truth to the fact that those who are judged to be more physically attractive are judged to be less guilty of committing crimes. Research for the past three decades has validated this.  In the above photo blond, and curvy Arias looks very attractive.

She also looks very beautiful as a blond in various modeling shots which were taken of her.

Screen Shot 2013-01-03 at 5.25.14 AM

But in court, she did not look that pretty or glamorous  or sexy.  Instead  she looked like an average woman, which will put her on a evel playing field as far as the jury is concerned.   The crying she showed in court was no doubt designed to make her look like a vulnerable victim. But in reality  she oozes too much self confidence that verges on cockiness that the jury will detest.

Screen Shot 2013-01-03 at 4.40.43 AM

The jury  got a glimpse of this in an interview she  did with Inside Edition where she stated emphatically  that a jury will not convict her and to mark her words. I cannot imagine any attorney  allowing their client to go on a tabloid magazine show to declare her innocence, So I can only assume that she did this on her own. It was a huge mistake for her to do this if she wants a jury to not convict her.

She also changed her story too many times which is a huge red flag to a jury. It says that she is a liar and they will assume the worst. The jury was shown the sexual and bloody  photos of what she  did to her boyfriend from photos that were  retrieved from a  camera she put in a washing machine to wash away the evidence.

Screen Shot 2013-01-03 at 4.24.39 AM

A jury will never believe that she was  a victim as they see the body language of photos of the two of them together. In this photo she looks like she is the dominant one in the relationship as she grabs her boyfriend by the chin in a move to try and control him.

Screen Shot 2013-01-03 at 4.26.23 AM

This is another telling photo body language wise as he is pulled away from her while she leans on him.

She appears to have a sickening sweet tone which will turn a lot of people off. Whenever you hear someone with a high pitched baby girl tone, run, because there is often hidden anger  and rage under such a contrived tone. There is  also a monotone which is disconcerting and off-putting. Finally she appears  to have a mask like appearance devoid of emotion. There is also  a coldness to both her tone and facial expression which will not reflect well, especially of she takes the stand.

My view of what likely happened was that she got involved with a sexually inexperienced an naive young man with a Mormon background. According to his friends, he lost his virginity to her. At first it was exciting for him and he may have allowed her to take control over things, but as he spent more time with her he  realized, as he confided to his friends , that she was not the type of woman she wanted to settle down with and marry.

When he apparently began dating other women, she  obviously lot her control and hold  over him which angered her. He tried  to break up with her according to friends  but she wouldn’t hear of it.  Even though he wanted out there was a part of him that still enjoyed her sexually and that is why they were  obviously together on the last day  of life.

While she was taking photos of him  in the shower and engaging in sex with him she must have felt there was hope  for the relationship but  then something  happened that set her off. Perhaps he didn’t agree to get back together as a couple, or reciprocate and tell her that he loved her. Something that was said  or not said clearly angered her  to the point that she grabbed a weapon to stab him and keep stabbing him 27 times. She was in a fit of violent rage over the thought of not  having him.  She was so angry and violent with him that she slit his throat and just to make sure he was dead, shot him in the head.

To me this is clearly a crime of passion. The fact that she had a gun with her indicates that she must have thought about killing him that day. Who brings a gun to their boyfriend’s hime unless they plan to go to a gun range together, go hunting, or use it on the person?

In my view, she had plans to use the gun on her boyfriend if things didn’t go her way. Things  obviously didn’t go her way and she used the weapon. So there was premeditation involved in my view.It was in my view a premeditated crime of passion that could have gone either way, depending on whether she thought she could win him back,

The three different stories she told after  finally admitting she killed him in self defense will not make jurors sympathetic to her. As we will most likely hear in the testimony of his close friends and family, he  will have had  no history of being abusive.

Jodi does not appear credible or likable and the body language she has displayed thus far will seal her fate. While she will most likely be convicted she may or may not get the death penalty. There may be jurors who will sympathize  with her Some jurors may even feel that her boyfriend lead her on and  mentally abused her, based on the fact that they engaged in sex after he tried to dump her.

Unlike what the media has portrayed, this is not a case which is at all similar to the Casey Anthony case. There is no child involved and this woman doesn’t have enabling parents who are front and center trying to enable their daughter. Thus there are no parallels here.
