Dylan Farrow’s Body Language In Child Photos Show Same Discomfort With Woody Allen As Daughters With Soon Yi
February 5, 2014

Image

After several decades,  Dylan Farrow, now an adult and a mother, has publicly addressed what she alleges happened to her when she was a young child- that Woody sexually molested her in an attic.  Many people have shown sympathy and compassion towards Dylan and have called her” brave” for coming forward, including Girls producer, Laura Dunn. Most celebrities have remained mum on the subject ( just in case they may be offered a part in a  future Woody film). Even the hot -headed, non- filtered Alex Baldwin said he would not dare involve himself in a family’s personal tragedy. That was smart and well said. It is indeed a personal family tragedy and only two people know for sure what happened in the attic or out of the attic for that matter- Dylan Farrow and Woody Allen.

Image

So after six decades in the media, why would veteran TV host Barbara Walters stick her neck out to defend Woody? On the View she said she didn’t believe the allegations because she knows Woody personally and spent time with him and Soon Yi and they have a good marriage and everything is fine with their two girls, who have a great relationship with Woody.”   In the first place, she doesn’t spend every moment with the couple, so she has no idea what kind of a marriage they have. After observing countless photos of Woody and Soon Yi my observation is that she is the submissive on in the relationship based on her body language. She is usually seen in in back of him or in front of him, never side by side.

Image

One party should never usually seen on back or in front of another. In my view that is not a sign of a good marriage as I define it.

  1. Image

Happy couples  should al be smiling when they are together and that isn’t usually the case when Woody and Soon Yi are photographed together.

Image in my View, the reason  Barbara Walters  stuck  her nose into this land mine of a situation and stood up for Woody so publicly is simple. She wants a “get”. A “get” in journalism terms is that special interview that can make your career. In Walter’s case, she will be retiring soon, so what better way to leave an illustrious career than with a Woody Allen “get ” and high ratings. Who wouldn’t want to hear what Woody himself has to say. So if she makes nice nice to him on the air, he will feel comfortable having her interview him as he will feel he has an ally during the difficult interview process.

I don’t claim to know if Woody is telling the truth as he denied Dylan’s claims through a spokesperson. That does NOT add to his credibility in  my view. A person who has been so maligned needs to speak up for themselves in my view and  passionately shout their innocence from the highest media mountains.

There was another supporter of Woody who in an article in the Daily Beast warned everyone to not jump to conclusions as he made a case for Woody by essentially blaming Mia Farrow for instigating all of this and for being a “woman scorned. ” That appalled me.  He said that Mia can never forgive Woody for leaving her and for being with Soon Yi.

Well whether you are a man or a woman, being with the daughter of your girlfriend or boyfriend  is not right under any circumstances. Worse is that Mia found naked photos of Soon Yi on Woody’s mantle. This  means they were having an affair right under her nose. The author then  rationalizes that these were two consenting adults.

This is the ugliest betrayal. Soon Yi was a sheltered child, even if she was 19.  She was not worldly, having traveled independently around the world.  She apparently did not have lot of friends and wasn’t living on her own. In fact, Ronan Farrow, Soon Yi’s brother described her as troubled. If that is the case, then it  seems logical to say that Woody may have very well taken advantage of  troubled girl as many believe.

Image

And when the author  further rationalizes that Woody was technically not her father or a father figure and that Andre Previn was her father, he is living in an illusion as far as I am concerned. Here is a reality check. Any adult that is dating your mother and any adult that is in your life everyday, whether they share the same  apartment with you or not, takes on the role of some type of parent figure. Woody  was not  a peer. He was decades older than her and knew perfectly well what she was doing. Even if she was the instigator, he needed to put a stop to his.  The least he could have done was broken up with Mia and waited a while to date soon Yi instead of doing it behind Mia’s back or under her nose.

So who would’t feel  scorned  and betrayed if the person whom you loved and spent all of your time  and whom you considered A  major part of your family, even posing for family shots if you found naked pictures of your child – adopted or not, in their house. That in my view is one of the the most Toxic things that could happen to a person and is unforgivable no matter how much time has passed.

Below are photos of Dylan Farrow as a child. She does NOT look happy or very comfortable around Woody as you can see.

Image

This is not the photo of a smiling and  happy child.

Image

She looks miserable in this photo which her upset knitted brow.

Image

Here the little girl shows her hands positioned in a fist-like claw position which means she is not happy. The expression on her face also reflects her unhappiness.

Image

This does NOT look like a little girl who is happy being in the arms of her father. As he leans towards her, she is seen with  and upset furrowed brow.

Practically every photo that I looked at of Dylan and Woody together showed me the same thing. Woody had a very unhappy unresponsive disconnected child around him.

Now I don’ t know if he did or did not molest her during these years or any years for that matter, but I can tell you she did not seem to be too thrilled whenever she was around him as a child.

Now you may ask what about his relationship with the daughters in his new family? To me they too don’t seem happy around Woody or connected to him either.

Image

In an earlier photo of Woody and  daughters from his new family with Soon Yi,  the daughter  on the left seems to be pulling away from him while the one in back trails behind.

Image

As they got older and he tried some PDA , his daughters were not reciprocating. Look at the feet of both daughters. Both of their heels are off the ground. That means that they can’t wait to gets way from him. The doughtier on the left, Manzi has her hand between her and Woody and hand in an angry fist like posture in order to keep her distance from him and block him. The daughter on the right, Bechet, has her arms crossed in front of her to block Woody’s clearly unwanted affection. Her jaw looks tense and she is not happy.

Image

Now we can really see doughtier  Bechet on the right’s angry expression. She cannot stand being hugged by Woody here. Both of her heels are off the ground which means she wants to rum a away. She wants to leave his awkward embrace as she clearly feels very uncomfortable. Manzi, the other daughter has her shoulder up which is literally giving the “cold shoulder” to Woody’s unwanted  embrace.

Image Recently, his same daughter,  Bechet  seen above is clearly disconnected from Woody as he speaks to her and she completely ignores him. Watch this interview by TMZ when Woody is asked about the sexual allegations made by Dylan. Observe his awkward exchange with Bechet. http://www.tmz.com/2014/02/02/woody-allen-dylan-farrow-child-molestation-knicks-game/ It is as though he is talking to a stinger who doesn’t know him.

Image

Look at t how Bechet completely turns her back on her dad. What was interesting is that she turned her back on her dada just as soon as the subject of Dylan’s letter was mentioned by the TMZ reporter. That struck me as very odd behavior.

Zimmerman Interview With Sean Hannity Would Have Given Jurors More Insight
July 16, 2013

We have come to find out from the juror who wanted to write a book and who appeared on Anderson Cooper in shadow so her identity would not be revealed that the initial vote for the jurors was one for second degree, two for manslaughter and 3 for not guilty. She said that as they understood the guidelines they were under based on their instructions, they all felt that Zimmerman killed out of self defense.

Today I was sent an article where I was quoted about Zimmerman a year ago after he appeared on the Sean Hannity Show. As I read what I said back then, I couldn’t help but think that if the jurors saw the same thing I saw on Hannity they may have had more information before they came to their conclusion. The thing that struck me the most during Hannity’s interview was that Zimmerman’s body language, facial language, vocal and speech patterns did not reflect that he showed remorse.

Before you read what I wrote , it is important to understand that as a behavioral analyst and body language expert, I do not put my bias into my analyses. All I do is report what I see and make an interpretation based on body language, facial language, vocal, and speech cues.

Here is what I observed  on the Sean Hannity Show back in July of 2012 in an interview I did with journalist Marcus Singletary

The Zimmerman affair: two fallacies and a conversation with Dr. Lillian Glass

2. Zimmerman’s interview with Sean Hannity was more important than anyone involved was inclined to admit.

On July 19, 2012 (yes, I resisted publishing it until now), Dr. Lillian Glass – a noted Cosmopolitan Magazine columnist and body language expert – said of Zimmerman’s demeanor on the national stage:

Now that I have had time to really digest it, there is a lot that is highly disturbing. He is forthright in his answers – and shows no remorse, which is a bad thing.

When Sean asks if he regrets getting out of the car and following Trayvon, he says he doesn’t, and then there is a pursing of his mouth that indicates anger towards Trayvon. Then he is asked if he regrets having a gun that night and he matter of factly – with no emotion – says ‘no.’ Then, he invokes that it was ‘God’s Will’ in a robotic way devoid of emotion. It shows a man who has no sorrow for what he did.

When he turns to the camera to speak, it is highly inappropriate, and shows that this is all contrived and done for a purpose. He says he wishes that it wouldn’t have put HIM in a bad position; It is all about HIM. A jury seeing this will dislike Zimmerman very much, because he shows no compassion or humanity. He is telling the truth that he feels no remorse for taking another life. He even smiles smugly when he talks about not making racist remarks.

He also contradicts himself. First, he says it is ‘God’s Will,’ and then he says later that when he shot Trayvon, he didn’t think he hit him. A jury will pick this up as well.

He then says he is sorry they buried their child, and then it goes back to HIM as he says I can’t imagine what it must feel like. He again shows no empathy. When he says, ‘I pray for them daily,’ he purses his lips and swallows. He says it in a monotone devoid of emotion. The pursing of the lips and swallows may be a signal of deception that one may wonder if he is praying for himself daily and not Trayvon’s family.

In essence, Zimmerman is telling the truth that he has no regrets about getting out of the car pursuing Travyon and shooting him, and the only regret is that it put him in a bad position.

In court, Judge Debra Nelson deflected, ‘Certain portions of the defendant’s interview…have been excised or redacted based upon legal determinations made by the court. The parts excised or redacted are not relevant and you are not to concern yourselves with why this occurred’ and, as a result, attorney Remi Spencer pointed out, ‘The state…sort of [threw] their arms up in the air and [said], ladies and gentlemen of the jury, you decide…As if, perhaps, they didn’t even want to bring this case to the courtroom in the first place’ (FOX, July 2, 2013; (Orlando Sentinel, July 14, 2013.)

I believe Dr. Glass when she calls Zimmerman’s character into question, and now you are also aware of why anyone with predispositions to Zimmerman’s claims would want to push the true, case-defining issues aside. Sure, Zimmerman won, but experts are telling you that he deceived the American public and was supported by the nation’s criminal justice system in doing so.

Jodi Arias Worst Punishment Isolation Not Life or Death With Her Narcissistic and Entitled Personality
May 26, 2013

Image

There appears to be a great deal of upset with jurors in the Jodi Arias case for not coming to a conclusion as to wether she lives or dies. While there appears to be somewhat of a gladiator mindset with those who are not on the jury championing life, while others champion death for Jodi, these two options will not have as much impact on Jodi as being isolated and away from other human beings will have more of a punishing effect on her based on her personality type.

Her not having mountains of mail to keep her busy and occupied, her not making daily calls to her friend to tweet for her, her only being allowed two books every two weeks if she is lucky, her lack of having access to a pen or writing  or drawing materials, will be devastating enough to her psyche.

But even more devastating will be her lack of contact with others both on the outside and on the inside of her prison life. For someone who thrives on attention, manipulation, and for someone who feels so entitled who needs to be in control, the mere essence of who she is will no doubt  be destroyed.

While it was recently  appalling to see Jodi control and micromanage the media and the reporters who sniveled  at her feet just to get her to talk in an interview, we gained a great deal of insight as to who she is and how she thinks. She clearly intimidated almost every single reporter who spoke to her, She was the one in control. She loved it. She demanded that they only film her above the waist without her jailhouse stipes and pink socks and shackles showing. She insisted that she apply makeup and lipgloss and not be filmed doing those things or combing or fluffing up her hair.

  1. Image

The ONLY reporter with any guts and professionalism was ABC’s Ryan Owen who shot video of her in her jail garb and asked real hard hitting questions instead of those meaningless namby pamby candy coated questions his colleagues asked.

In doing so, Ryan’s questions brought out another side of  REAL Jodi as she exposed the flash of hate and anger that Travis Alexander may have seen right before he was so brutally attacked and massacred.

Image

Gone was Jodi’s sickening sweet melifluous tone. Gone was Jodi’s plastered fake smile. Now her eyes opened wide in anger, her  jaw dropped,  her head jerked back as she was literally taken aback by Ryan Owen’s direct non nonsense not sugar coated approached. She retaliated by calling him a “hater.”

With the exception of Ryan Owen’s interview Jodi LOVED LOVED LOVED all of the attention. She LOVED bossing all the media around and setting up her rules and regulations . She LOVED asserting her control over them. But the one time she couldn’t control like we saw in her reaction with Ryan owen, she fought back and fought as hard as she could under the circumstances by calling him a “Hater”.

When Jodi did not get her way, she fought. That is what happened with Travis. She wanted to control Travis and have him marry her. She did all she could to make that happen from accompanying him on trips to ironically fulfill his “1000 places to see before you die”  goal, converting to Mormonism for him, and  indulging him in his sex fantasies and sex play. She thought she could easily control him with sex and eventually wear him down and have him succumb to her greatest  desire which was to be his wife.

So when she completely lost control, that rage and anger  of which we saw a glimpse in Ryan Owen’s interview, no doubt surfaced and all the anger of  this “sickeningly sweet  silent  but deadly erupting volcano”  came boiling up to the surface and exploded. AS a result of her built up rage, she ended up stabbing Travis 27 times and shooting him.

She thought she could control and manipulate Travis  with some great sex and that they would be back together as a couple. But that was not the case. Instead, he gladly enjoyed the sex  with her, but then told her he was taking another girl  on a trip to Mexico.

It was all too much for Jodi to hear. She lost control so did the only thing she could to gain back her control – literally destroying Travis three times over. Her intention in driving all those miles was to see if she could control Travis, one last time. if not, she was prepared to make sure no one else had Travis if she couldn’t have him.

The jury forman in his interview made some disparaging remarks about Travis. He said he believed  Travis had emotionally and mentally abused Jodi.  Travis was certainly  no angel. The jury forman was right in his assessment that Travis  did emotionally abuse her by continuing to have sex with her while he had no intention of marrying her and while dating other women in order to seek out a wife. This diminished  Jodi’s ego and sense of self to the point  that her built up anger overcame her and that she felt she had no choice other than to literally destroy Travis.

Jodi’s personality is such that when she cannot control something or someone she lashes out and destroys and that is what she did to Travis.

There is a very enlightening You tube video called “Jodi Arias Rose Colored Glasses” by a former prison deputy Warden in the  Arizona Prison system. named Carl ToersBijns

He states that Jodi will have absolutely NO CONTROL whatsoever in the prison system to start reading, language, recycling and hair donation programs like she told the jurors. She said in his video that the physical conditions alone in the Perryville prison are so harsh that many inmates die or commit suicide. He reports that Jodi will have no contact at all with others and will be looking at four walls 23 hours a day with no letters or books to keep her mind occupied.

Based on the deputy warden’s video, Jodi will be facing isolation with no human contact  for at least at least five years before she will be allowed with others. That is only of she shows good behavior. But as the deputy warden says, many find the intense heat and the extreme isolation too much to take so they often kill themselves.

When Jodi realizes that there is no inmate contact, that no one set her straight about her not being able to start prison  reading or language programs, that she won’t be able to draw or color, that she won’t be in the general population for at least five years,  that she can only read 2 books a month only if the staff has time to take her to the library, that all  her mail will not be delivered, that she has NO CONTROL over anything, it may be too much for her to bear and she may welcome death as so many prisoners do.

If she gets life, these conditions will be immensely unbearable for her personality type. Even if she happens to make it to the point that she will see other prisoners after her five years of isolation, she will be such a mental mess that she will not be able to endure the taunting that the Deputy Warden talks about in his video. If she displays that arrogant,”I am a celebrity”  or “I am better than you” attitude, uses her big worded vocabulary to show off, speaks in her precise, hyper-articulate, staccato unnatural tone,  or shows any sense entitlement she may be beaten up so severely  or even  killed by other prisoners.

This time around,  with the new jury deciding whether she lives or dies, Jodi’s lawyers  may want to give her a reality check and tell her there are no prison programs in Perryville she can control or start up. They may want to do the right thing by her even though they can’t  stand her and have her  put her narcissistic desire for attention on the back burner and shut up .

Pleading for her life may have been Jodi’s biggest mistake. It made the jury think twice about her fate, especially when she provided them with more BS about what she would do in a maximum security system.

Based on what we now know will be the conditions she will fave in Perryville, she needs to plead death or keep her mouth shut and let the jury decide without her influence.  But  that won’t be possible as her desire for control and  center stage is too great.

Jodi Arias Body Language As Mistrial Declared Shows Shock, Hurt, Relief, and Frustration
May 24, 2013

Image

As Jodi Arias is about to learn her fate as to  whether she was to  live or die it is essential to note how  she is dressed and how she  has  arranged her hair. With the exception of her pony tail, her hair do was similar  her court  minder who sat by her side whenever her attorneys left the defense  table for a sidebar  with the Judge.  Jodi copied the woman’s style with her hair in back of her ears  wearing bangs in front. Gone are the phony librarian glasses we saw throughout the trial.

Her copying this woman’s  style once again shows evidence of Jodi’s adhesive personality, whereby she takes on the likes or identity or style of others. With her own attorney,  Jennifer Wilmott  (when they were on better terms) you would see Jodi wearing similar colors and styles to her female attorney. She even took on  Ms. Wilmott’s posture and demeanor as she perused documents and took notes. She did the same thing with collapsing Travis’ identity with his Mormon faith as part of her own. She even remarked that the reason she smiled for her mug shot was because she thought “that’s what Travis would do.”

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.16.53 AM

When she finds out that there is a hung jury and that there will be a mistrial she immediately shuts her eyes as if to process what she just heard.

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.17.02 AMThen you continue to see her processing the information while her attorney Jennifer Wilmott begins to show visible signs of surprise and anger based on her facial tension and tension around her eyes.

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.17.18 AMNow Jodi  begins to show signs of upset as she processed that the jury  did not give her life which she believed that they would, but instead sent her a clear message  that they couldn’t decide whether she should live or dies. She looks hurt due to the fact that there were some members of the jury who could even think about putting her to death.

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.18.49 AMNow we see that she is not only surprised but beginning to get upset with the findings because it means there were some jury members who didn’t believe her claim about being abused and killing in self defense. She also begins to realize that she will have to do her little ” and dance  act” all over again. It is as though she is nonverbally saying “Oh my God not again.”

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.19.08 AM

She doesn’t release her hand from her face as now it is  a form of self comforting and self support as she sadly listens to each juror speak . There is an expression of hurt as she hears each juror speak the same words and no doubt feels “betrayed ” by them. She spoke of feeling betrayed by them in the ABC interview. Now we see the visible physical facial expressions reflecting her perceived betrayal. Her  shoulders are rounded as she appears defeated.

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.19.58 AMShe cannot move her hand from the side of her face as she continues to listen to the jurors.  There is a lot of facial tension around her lower jaw as she looks as though she is emotionally hurt and as though she could cry any second. Her potential tears are clearly due to he feeling that the jury did her wrong.

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.20.11 AM

Her hand moves over her mouth indicating that she is literally “speechless” at what is happening. The tension around her eyes have relaxed more as she realizes that this may not be such a bad thing. She doesn’t have to go to death row now and be in isolation for the rest of her life. Now she has more time before she leaves the jail and heads to prison. Most of all she’ll remain in the limelight for a lot longer with all the attention paid to her, thus feeding her insatiable narcissism.

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.20.30 AM

She scratches  and presses down on her midface region, nasal bridge, and inner portion of her closed eyelids  as a  way of releasing the pent up emotional pressure. It is a signal of relief. She is relieved she wasn’t sentenced to death (at least not yet).

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.18.30 AMBut for the Alexander family, not seeing her sentenced to death for what she did to their brother was devastating as his sister immediately broke down in sobs.

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 9.19.30 AMThe same was true for his other sisters,  while  both his his brother and brother in law showed visible signs of anger with clenched jaws and furrowed brows.  For them it was as though al this effort to seek justice for their brother who had his throat slit and who was killed so shockingly by Jodi,  was done for nothing. Apparently some of the jurors mouthed the words “I’m sorry”” to this distraught family. But to the Alexander family, these were empty words. They were the ones that were sorry that they weren’t in the courtroom seeing Jodi sentenced to die.

To the family, there is only one logical conclusion and that is death for Jodi. But that was not the case with the jurors. The lack of  the Alexander’s family wish for a  death sentence and now their  lack of closure will have severe emotional repercussions on this family until they  return to the courtroom and once again in July to still see  their brother’s monster murderess.

Following this hung jury’s dismissal from the courtroom, the Jury Forman  William Zervakos spoke to the press. He  said that  be believed Travis Alexander verbally and emotionally abused Jodi Arias. That is a shock to many who did not believe this to be the case. No doubt other jurors fell for this  line fo thinking. Otherwise they would have all  quickly agreed that she deserved to die by lethal needle.

The judge showed frustration with the jury as she read that it was a mistrial as reflected by her letting out a huge burst of air, resulting in a huge sigh before she spoke , which is a clear signal of frustration and exasperation  on her part. . There is no doubt that this trial took it’s toll on her too, since  she always had to be on her toes throughout the trial to make sure a mistrial would not be the result of anything she did. This must have been extremely  taxing on her psyche .

Now there will be  a new group of jurors to assist in deciding Jodi’s fate. For the next 2 1/2/ months, Jodi will sit in a cell 23 hours a day and do no media. This may be her worst punishment yet.

Jodi Arias Media Interviews Full of Contradictions, Deception, Anger, and Narcissism As ABC Reporter Confronts Her and Is Called A Hater
May 23, 2013

First she wanted to die and now she wants to live. Then she comes up with a list of what she will do in prison to be productive and of service to others. This includes growing her hair for Locks of Love, teaching illiterate prisoners reading, teaching spanish, and  starting a recycling program. Then in her interviews she states that she has never been to prison so she doesn’t really know what she will be allowed and not allowed to do.

Image

In all of her interviews  her vanity and narcissism showed. First fo all  it is interesting to note that she no longer wears glasses or bangs as we have all seen throughout the trial. This was no doubt an attempt to manipulate the jury into not viewing her as the blond bombshell.

Image

But now , she  has on lip gloss and has restyled her hair without bangs. Although she insisted she didn’t want to be videotaped primping and fixing her hair or wearing striped pants, ABC News would have none of her shenanigans and did a set up shot of her with her striped prison pants.

She was LOVING all of the attention on each of the media venues . She was relishing in the attention as indicated by her completely different demeanor in terms of her body language. When asked about her enjoyment for the media attention she leaked out a smile (duping delight)  as she denied it. Instead, she tried to spin another yarn that she was serving as a spokesperson and poster girl  for other victims of abuse.

Most of the interviewers  were very gentle with her in their attempts to garner her cooperation and a good interview. But the ABC reporter Ryan Owens was the only one who called it like it is and  was super direct and didn’t fall for her manipulation.

Image

She was surprised at the ABC  reporter’s questions. His first question to her was why didn’t she apologize to Travis’ family. Look at how defensive and angry  she looks after hearing the question from the ABC reporter.  Look at the glare in her eyes and her pursed lips. She knew full well that she didn’t  directly apologize to Travis’ family. In fact there is no doubt she  purposely did not say she was sorry because she is not sorry about what she did to Travis (her alleged abuser). She is  only sorry she got caught and that her freedoms were taken away.

It is also important to note that when she said to the reporter that she did apologize to Travis’ family, you could see a shoulder shrug- a clear signal of deception in this context.

The reporter then says  to Jodi. ” No one believes a word out of your mouth so why do you keep talking?”

Image

She is shocked at the question as he eyes widen and he mouth is left agape. She continues to glare at the reporter as she defensively  answers “I’ve lied before.  That doesn’t mean I am a liar by definition by character.”  Sorry Jodi, you have lied so many times that  you are indeed a LIAR by definition and by character. Here we can see how her thought pattern is functioning  which is also is so indicative of the illogical way in which  sociopaths think.

Image

We then see Aria’s anger surfacing again as she looks away and tenses her lips as she says she feels betrayed by the jury. She then lies as she says ” I don’t dislike them.” Her voice dies off at the end of this statement which is a signal of deception as was her shoulder shrug. Of course she dislikes them.  They didn’t fall for her manipulation.

Image

Here we see Jodi leak out her viciousness in terms of her facial expression as she knows she has been manipulating the public by first saying she wanted to die and now saying she wanted to live. She then smugly asks the reporter “Was I lying when I said I wanted to die or lying when I said I wanted to live?”

I believed that her initial interview where she claimed she wanted to die, was pure manipulation, based on how she spoke vocally and the choice of her words.

Image

Once again we see Jodi’s anger resurfacing as the reporter says that Travis’ family wants her dead. She then leans forward and juts out her jaw in anger to the reporter and says “What do you mean , why don’t I kill myself”

Image

The ABC reporter then asks her the brilliant question , if she was on that jury and heard what she heard, “would  you kill you?” Jodi is taken aback and liiterally leans back as she tightens her jaw looks away and tries to come up with an answer. She sighs a huge breath indicating that she is very affected by the poignancy of this question. She swallows hard and the pitch of her voice goes up indicating tension and making it sound as though she is answering with a question mark , as she says  “I don’t believe in Capital punishment?”

Image

So the answer would be “no”. She then leaks out a smirk and closed off her tense throat muscles as she creaks out a “no”. This creak is a signal of deception. I think this quesition hit her hard as we see multiple signals of stress. In her heart of hearts she does believe that she deserves the death sentence for this crime.

The fact that she said that it was her cousin’s words that hit home and made her want to live is nonsense considering her cousin wasn’t a steady presence in the courtroom and  the fact that she refused to giver her cousin’s name out. I do not  think Jodi ever wanted the death sentence. I think she wanted life all along and this was just another lie and another manipulative ploy.

Ryan Owen then says to Jodi ” So you are never going to tell the truth about what went on in  that bathroom” as he doubts her story of self defense.

Image

Jodi is literally taken aback by the question as she jolts her head backwards and tenses her jaw in anger as she says “I don’t know what you mean by that.” in essence Ryan Owen has caught her in her lie and she is responding via her defensive and angry body language.

Image

She then angrily glares at Ryan and then says that she told the truth. She attacks him by saying “I didn’t know you were such a hater when you came to interview me.”

Now we see the REAL Jodi Arias and how she can turn on a dime when things don’t go her way. We saw how  the hate  came out of  her. No longer do we hear that sickening sweet vocal tone which masks her hidden rage.

Image

We see evidence of her continued anger as masked via sarcasm when Ryan Owen asks her about her image makeover from blond bombshell to church mouse librarian look. She smugly replies that’ they don’t sell Clairol hair dye in jail”. In the photo above you can see her phony smile with non raised cheeks and unsmiling eyes and tense mouth as she says this.

She then leaks out the word “crazy as she says that it is a court of law and not a place to go “crazy or let loose.”

Those words reveal exactly what Jodi did to Travis. In  a fit of jealousy. she went “crazy” by  killing him three times over.

Kudos to Ryan Owen for his hard hitting no nonsense questions which hit Jodi to the core and made her leak out her true colors via her   body language , voice ,and speech patterns.

Jodi Arias Body Language As She seeks Mercy Was Non Emotional, Non Apologetic, Self Absorbed, and Contradicted Her Testimony
May 21, 2013

Screen Shot 2013-05-21 at 10.58.03 AMWhen I  the saw Jodi Arias interview right after she was found guilty of First Degree Murder requesting death, it was obvious to me that she wasn’t believing a word of what she was saying based on her body language, facial expression and voice quality and measured speech pattern.

In my view, it was a ploy and yet another one of her manipulative mind games to say ” I want you to kill me” in hopes that the jury would do exactly  the opposite and not grant her satisfaction of yet one more time in getting what she wanted. It was also her way of taking control, just  in case she was given the death penalty by saying that is what SHE wanted all along.

As Jodi spoke to the court to try and plead her case as to why she should be given life, she spoke in a cold  nonemotional, non heartfelt tone.  her posture was extremely erect with her hed up. There was an air of arrogance surrounding her.  Her speech pattern was mechanical and stacatto.

When Jodi gave a slide show of her happy family all together for celebratory events it completely contradicted her testimony of being an abused victim in her home. If she was so abused why would she show up for the photo shoots and be all smiles at family functions? This did not help her credibility with the jurors.

She even spoke about her family being the reason why she should not have the death penalty. When she spoke of her father crying for the first time, this also did not seem to ring true. No doubt her father was crying his entire life over the antics his daughter demonstrated. Maybe his tears were silent but no doubt Jodi’s actions brought him much sadness throughout the years.

When she spoke it was as though she was  victim by stating that now she can never be a mother and that her nieces will be as close as she will get to becoming a mother.

She said  that up until a few weeks ago she had to give up hope that she would ever become a mother. That statement spoke volumes. It showed how she actually did believe the jury would NEVER convict her.

She also mentioned how she wanted to AVOID trial. This is another lie. if she wanted to avoid trial she needed to plead guilty and take her sentence.

She admitted to the jurors that she preferred death but now she saw there were options like all the charitable work she would do in prison from giving up her hair to “Locks of Love” to teaching illiterate inmates how to read. The first thing many jurors may be thinking is ” who would want hair from a murderer?”  As far as teaching inmates how to read, with her arrogant. superior attitude and narcissim, her fellow inmates may not take very well to having her as their teacher or instructor. She mentioned other charitable ventures she wanted to pursue in prison with a leaked out smile as though she was looking forward to these ventures.

The reality may be that she may be spending all her time in prison taking care of herself as in the general population she will no doubt be a target for those who may want to pick a fight with her or damage her in order to make a name for themselves because she is so public. Maybe she will be able to have fellow inmates who will be her protectors. Maybe she will pay for their help with her commissary goods or with her artwork.

The reality is also that Jodi will be giving a lot of interviews behind bars which will keep her busy throughout the years and feeding into her ego. She will also be writing or co-writing books, selling her artwork and spending her time drawing and coloring (which she loves doing). She may even make some prison friends by  drawing portraits of them. Jodi will always have cash in her commissary account as she will always make money.

She may even find romance behind bars. She may  also have  disturbed suitors from all over the world who may want to marry her, like Casey Anthony experienced. And like Susan Atkins, a Charles Manson follower who spent her life in prison, she may even marry behind bars.

In any event, Jodi Arias’ life may be fulfilled if she is granted life behind bars with growing her hair, watching TV,  teaching reading and spanish to inmates, drawing, coloring, writing, media interviews, and having some sort of love life.

Travis  on the other hand will have none of these things. The photo of him naked and vulnerable in the shower haunts me as  I am sure it will haunt many of the jurors.  Here is where many believe that an “eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth’ may be the solution as  jurors may realize that Travis can’t give to charity,  watch TV, or do media interviews, or teach, or have a love life ever again. Whether or not he was an angel, he didn’t deserve to be killed  so horrifically.

By Jodi sharing  what she CAN do while she is still alive, it magnifies what Travis CAN’T do now that he is dead.Perhaps the jury will see this as they make their final decision as to whether she lives or dies. The fact that she didn’t give a heartfelt apology to what she did to Travis and look directly at his family and apologize to them  may have sealed her fate.

Surviving Boston Terrorist’s Arrogance Revealed in Surveillance Body Language and In SadisticTweets
April 21, 2013

Image

As a behavioral analyst and body language expert, the one thing that struck me about the surveillance video was the arrogant smirk on the face of  Boston terrorist  and 19 year old brother  Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. What also confirms his arrogance were the tweets that he wrote right after his actions destroyed the lives of innocent people.

Image

In the surveillance photo released by the FBI as you can see above, he has a  tight lipped smirk on his face. He is also arrogant in his dress as well as in his  demeanor. Unlike his brother Tamerin who tried to disguise himself with sunglasses and by wearing the bill of his cap in front to cover his face,  younger brother Dzhokher arrogantly displays his face with no sunglasses and the bill of his hat facing backwards.

Image

His posture was also different than his brothers who appeared with head forward and shoulders  and back slightly hunched over, In contrast Dzhoker’s  shoulders were squared straight back as he held his head up displaying confidence in arrogance in light of what he had just done.

Now we have discovered that his arrogant demeanor reflected his arrogant behavior.  While law enforcement were  frantic and  scanning photos  as they attempted  to identify the men who planted deadly bombs at the Boston Marathon a week ago Monday,Dzhokhar  arrogantly appeared to not have a care in the world. He  apparently worked out in the gym and spent the night (two days later- Wednesday. He was also reported to have been seen on campus the day after the massacre on Tuesday  ) sleeping  in his dorm room at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

His dormitory card swipes revealed  that Tsarnaev was on campus Wednesday. He was also spotted  that night at a party which  was attended by some of his soccer friends. A woman who saw him at the party noticed that he had a “relaxed” demeanor.

In fact he speaks about his relaxed state in one of his tweets which he arrogantly did after the aftermath.

Image

Even though his bombing maimed and killed people he tweeted “I’m a stress free kind of guy.”

Image

We see the depths of his hatred as he says there is no love n the city as he sarcastically  and sadistically says “stay safe people.”

Image

The level of his sadism is also revealed in the above tweet with the photo of a man grieving over his dead and bloodied fiancé. Dzhokher was responsible for this photo and no doubt he was flaunting what he had personally done to create the man’s grief over his fiance’s death. Tweeting this shows just how disturbed, sadistic and Toxic a person this Terrorist is as he relishes in what he accomplished.

Image

The above tweet is profound. From his point of view he is giving us a great deal of insight in terms of how he is thinking. He is telling us that he will not be one of those silent people when it comes to his cause. He will not be one of the silent ones because through his actions he, as a minority will finally be heard.

When he says “There are people who know the truth but stay silent ” has meaning to him in that he clearly was not one of the people who remained silent.

Classmates described Dzohker as a good student who  who played intramural soccer. They also described him as a “pothead”.

Maybe he was high when he committed the atrocities at the marathon, This is not atypical behavior as we say this same type of mask-like smirk we see in the first photo of this blog with the Mumbai member. It turned out that the Mumbai bomber was loaded on drugs as he carried out his nefarious acts. Could this also be the case  for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev? Was he high on pot or other drugs as he carried out his atrocity?   Did drugs play a part in  giving him   a jolt of confidence in carrying out this horrible act and did it and did it fuel  his arrogance afterwards?

From his tweets we know that he has shown no remorse. He is proud of what he did as he even went as far as showing a dead person and a grieving person to reflect the fruits of his labor. We have seen sadism and arrogance and a young obviously not so intelligent man on a mission that destroyed his life as well as the lives of others

Jodi Arias Mother’s Body Language Shows Disrespect in the Courtroom and Hostility Towards Jodi
March 5, 2013

Image

Jodi Arias’s mother sits each day in the courtroom with another woman who looks similar to her. The reason they look so similar is that they are twin sisters.

But what these twins are doing in the courtroom is not helping Jodi. They are laughing and chucking with one another as though they are sharing inside jokes. This is very disrespectful  and is not helping Jodi in terms of jury perception.

The rest of the time her mother is looking non reactive or hostile as she gazes ahead to look at Jodi. Juries do look at family members. They see how family members react , if they are present , and how they behave.

The mother doesn’t look over at Jodi with any loving look. When there are salacious sexual details out of Jodi’s mouth as the camera pans to her, there is no emotional reaction. It is a though she is watching paint dry on a wall.

The only emotional reaction is when she is laughing with her sister. Does she think this trial is a big jok?. Or is she secretly happy Jodi finally got what she deserved for  possibly being such a bad daughter in her view. Ther eis clearly some deep seated hostility between them.

There does not seem to be any love lost between the two of them. Perhaps  her mother is angry for Jodi for either revealing the family  beating secrets or  for lying about  being beaten by her mother.

In the courtroom  Jodi said how she was severely beaten as a child by  both her mother and father as she said “ Life was ideal up until I was aged seven. Parents would spank us and around seven-years old it started getting more intense.”

Just as a note most abusive parents dont start spanking at age 7. They do it way before that time, so this statement seems like a lie to me.

Then Jodi continues, ‘My dad started using a belt.My mom began to carry a wooden spoon on her purse.”It was a wooden kitchen spoon and if we misbehaved she would use it on my brother and I, she would hit us hard with it.’It left welts on my body.“Dad didn’t leave welts as often as my mom – she also used a belt. “

In my view this last statement was way too much information about her dad and the welts which also make me question how truthful she was being. Also belts leave welts so one again she appears to me to be lying.

Then Jodi adds, My dad was quite intimidating so didn’t need to use strength to get his point across. My mother did.’

Now here is where it is very revealing concerning Jodi and her mother’s relationship. Jodi was asked in court if she loved her mother, She  took a pause and quietly responded, ‘yes’.

That quiet yes, and the pause says it all. It shows  ambivalence. It wasn’t a loud yes or a yes that could be heard but a quiet yes. It spoke  loud volumes about their relationship.

Jodi a;sp talked at length about the relationship she had with her parents growing up and claimed she was subjected to beatings.

‘They were intense and increased in frequency as I got older,’ Jodi  said. ‘I don’t recall how many times a week but it could be any thing from four times a week to once every two weeks.‘I didn’t like being hit so I would squirm around a little but the more we did the harder we would get hit.

‘My mother broke my brother’s hand once when he tried to block one of her blows. As I got into a teenager, my dad would get rougher and rougher.

So here is where she contradicts herself regarding the beatings. First she says her dad was just intimidating anf didn’t need to use strength to get his point across and then she says he got rougher and rougher.

She added: ‘When I was younger I remember feeling betrayed and confused that my mother was beating me.’As I got older it made me mad and I didn’t get why she was punishing me. I was mad at her and it hurt. I loved her but it put a strain on our relationship.”

Her adding I loved her was once again too much information and when she used the word BUT and said it put a strain on their relationship, it clearly shows her ambivalence towards her mother.  The she goes on to say

‘My dad never beat me with his fist – he would just shove me into furniture and the piano, tables, desk, chairs, whatever was around. One time I even passed out. This was when I was 16 or 17. Not as often with my dad as with my mom. If I did something to upset them it would happen. Sometimes I got grounded. I loved my father even when he was beating me.’

Again this contracts what she said earlier about her father not using force to make his point. So now we she he used so much force that Jodi passed out. Again it appears to me that she is lying. When she said  I loved mu father– it was in the past tense which is significant as well. It also showed her ambivalence that she loved her father even when he was beating me.”

She then  told the packed courtroom that the beatings continued throughout high school. She also stated  that one night she snuck out at night with friends and when her parents woke up and found out, she said her father hit her across the face, knocking her to the ground.

Once again it shows how she lied earlier about her father not using force. Knocking someone to the ground takes a lot of foce.

Following the end of the relationship with a young man Jodi moved in with, she said that she moved in with her grandparents after she broke up with the boyfriend  because she did not want to return to the abusive atmosphere of her parents’ house.

While Jodi is full of lies, this may be something that may ring true. She may have had problems with her parents for whatever reason.

The one thing that we have seen for sure is that there is no loving relationship between Jodi and her mother.

When  Jodi’s mother isn’t busy laughing with her sister or having no visible facial reaction to Jodi, she is taking copious notes- maybe she’s keeping a journal as well.

Image

Perhaps the mother  is plannig to write a tell all book telling us how awful Jodi was as a daughter, what a liar she wall all her life and how she  lied about being hit by her as this mother  cashes in on her daughter’s infamy.

Obama was NOT Being Rude or Disrespectful to Newly Elected Mexican President Nieto
November 29, 2012

I did a radio interview with Dan Cruz on Clear Channel radio who was concerned about the allegations by the press that Obama was rude to newly elected President of Mexico  Edgar Pena Nieto when he recently visited the White House.

I assured Mr. Cruz that this was NOT the case. President Obama was NOT being rude to the new President of Mexico. In fact Obama actually appeared to like President Nieto as indicated by Obama’s body language.

It shows that there are too many armature body language experts out there and over zealous journalists looking for a story and trying to make a mountain out of a molehill as they misinterpret body language and communication signals.

While it is true that Obama didn’t initially look directly at Neito when he spoke to him at the press conference, it did not mean that he didn’t like Nieto. The fact that Obama’s legs and toes were pointed in Neito’s direction showed that he did indeed like the newly elected President of Mexico.

His not looking at Nieto while speaking could have been attributed to the fact that he was looking and speaking directly to the translator as you can see in the photo above.

When Obama spoke you could see that he appeared to be absolutely exhausted based on his facial appearance and body demeanor. The fact that he was slunched over and  reported to be “too casual”  in his meeting with Nieto by critics may be explained as mere exhaustion as you can see int he photo above.

There were several occasions where Obama looked down and appeared to be ready for a nap rather than a meeting. And who can blame him after a grueling Presidential race that was neck and neck.

AS Obama listened to what he said in English translated back into Spanish  by the interpreter it appeared that he had his mind elsewhere as you can see int his photo. While he does not face President Neito directly at this point , you can see how his crossed leg does point in Nieto;s direction. Neito not he other hand is listing intently to the translation.

But when Nieto speaks it is  different story. Obama has direct eye contact with him and listens intently. Obama is   also often seen nodding his head in agreement when Neito speaks. Obama’s body is turned towards Nieto as though he is open and receptive to him.

So once again, it goes to show you that you can’t always believe what you read or what you see for that matter unless you understand the nuances of body language analysis. If you can’t to lean the nuances I suggest you get my latest book on amazon called  The Body Language Advantage which gives away all my body language reading secrets.

Lindsay Lohan’s Body Language In Liz and Dick Was Wooden with Monotone Voice
November 26, 2012

Lindsay Lohan may have been a precocious  child actress who made scenes seem believable when she appeared in Parent Trap and Freaky Friday. However, as an good adult actress in  her Liz and Dick performance, she needs a lot of work in the acting department in my view . Her performance was one dimentional,  stiff and mechanical in most places. It was devoid of natural emotion which made the lines she recited unbelievable .

In other places when she did invoke emotion, it was completely over the top. In fact her facial expression and fake tears were so over the top in places that it looked comical. . It as like watching a beginning actress perform  her first role .’’

The lack of vocal inflection amplified the wooden performance. There was also  no chemistry between her and the fellow who played Richard Burton  There was way too much kissing for so little chemistry on screen. This made it very uncomfortable for the viewer to watch.

In my view, Lindsay has  clearly lost her  acting “chops”.   It is no wonder why. Acting is not like riding a bicycle where you can get on and ride after decades of not riding. Acting , like it does for athletics, requires steady practice and skill. She may have been a natural actress as a  child. But as an adult she needs practice,  skill and  formal training. It is a different ball game for a child actress and an adult actress. She simply does not have the skills and it showed.

Instead of spending years in courtrooms and in the tabloids she needed to spend them in an acting class so that she would never have done such a sloppy over the top and wooden performance as she did in the suicide scene which turned out to be comical.

She clearly relied on cigarettes as props in almost every scene. It was an acting crutch. The focus was on the cigarette and not on her. Yes we got that people of that era smoked but not all the time.

SLOPPY SPEECH PATTERN

Besides the mechanical acting which any beginning actress could have performed in my view, her speech pattern also did not lend itself to being credible. She was sloppy in her cadence and did not articulate her words.

Also several times in the script she used the term “screwed” as a  colloquialism. This

term was not part of the slang back in the 1960’s. No one used the term “screwed. ”For this gaffe I blame the writers .  I also blame the writers on their lame dialogue. No one speaks like they wrote. It was awful. Lindsay’s monotonous uninflected  delivery of these awful lines didn’t help matters either.

Elizabeth Taylor had impeccable diction and Lindsay’s rapid paced delivery of her lines destroyed the illusion of Elizabeth Taylor.

 FRIGHTENING VOICE QUALITY

Whenever she laughed in various scenes  you could hear  breathiness and a raspiness. It sounded like a smokers laugh. It was not pleasant to  hear.

The quality of her  voice is also of concern to me as a former voice and speech consultant who worked with countless actors to help heal their vocal pathologies.

Her voice is hoarse and husky. It does not fit the voice pattern of a 20 something young woman. It makes her sound considerably older and harsher.  This voice quality if often  heard when there is  vocal pathology often associated with too much drinking , or smoking or drugging and misuse of the voice.

When people sound like that on a consistent basis it can often  be a sign of  a physical issue from vocal nodules, vocal polyps,  contact ulcers on the vocal folds to even throat cancer. Now I am not saying Lindsay has throat cancer. I am saying that with an voice like that,  she desperately needs to see an ear nose and throat physician for a major medical checkup.

While I take pity on Lindsay for her Toxic parents who  constantly appear to “sell her down the river “ in order to get publicity  for themselves by taking from their daughter’s limelight, ,the public is not so forgiving when it comes to acting.

Countless  actors have Toxic families but it doesn’t interfere their acting. In my view, her family issues  clearly have clearly  affected her acting skills. She needs to spend  every day in acting class or with a private acting coach to get some skills if she wants to be a serious actress . Most important f all she needs in invest in  a voice and speech coach.
