Lance Armstrong’s Body Language on Oprah Showed No Contrition, Lack of Emotion, Blaming Others, and Possible Sociopathic Behavior
January 18, 2013

Lance did NOT want to give this interview based on his body language as he constantly pursed his lips throughout this interview. In addition

Image

He would constantly look down and not look directly at Oprah when she asked direct hard hitting questions. There was a tone of arrogance and a disturbing monotone which indicated that the only thing he was sorry about was getting caught.

Oprah’s interview with Lance Armstrong was one of the most disturbing things to watch as the one thing that kept running though my mind was” Is Lance Armstrong a Sociopath?”  Here are some traits of a sociopath

a) Glibness

b)Grandiose sense of self-worth

c) Pathological Lying

d)Cunning/manipulative

e) Lack of remorse or Guilt

f)  Shallow affect (genuine emotion is short-lived

g)Callousness; lack of empathy

h)Failure to accept responsibility for own actions

It seems that Lance exhibited all of these traits when one listens to his interview.

When Oprah asked Lance Armstrong if he felt what he did was wrong or if he felt guilty or if he felt he CHEATED  he said NO!  That was the most chilling and revealing part of the entire interview. It made me wonder if this man was a sociopath.

He seemed to blame everyone else but himself.  He first blamed the culture, his fans, the story which was too good to be true to a cyclist who had the disease who won the competition. He also  the fact that he had the disease (as he refused to say cancer) that made him feel driven. He blamed his mother for being a fighter and said he was a fighter too.  He blamed fellow cyclist  Floyd Landis’ accusation as getting back at him because he wasn’t on the team.

What was also disturbing was he kept  referring to himself in the third person as a “flawed character instead of saying that his character was flawed. It was a form of distancing himself.

As further indication that he really  didn’t want to  be there and talk was a tell tale sign of  his  head scratch. His autonomic nervous system was in full play here as it showed that he was getting anxious as Oprah asked ” How did it all work?”

Here we see Lance putting his fingers over his mouth indicating that he is guarded and doesn’t really want to talk.

His thought process also seemed sociopathic. When you ask a sociopath a question they may answer it one way such as Did you threaten anyone to take drugs? Lance insisted that he did not. But then when you ask the question another way like  Did you insist the members of the team see Dr. Ferrari ( who allegedly provided the drugs) he answered yes.  In keeping with this sociopathic line of thinking he was asked if fellow cyclist  Floyd Landis who spoke to the press about Lance’s doping felt rebuffed? Lance said No. But then when asked in a different way, if  he blew Landis off, Armstrong admitted that he did indeed blow Floyd off as he said that Floyd was upset because ” I didn’t put him on my team.”This  thought process is how sociopaths tend to think.

When Oprah showed his deposition tapes you clearly saw how he was lying as he shook his head yes when he was saying No.

Screen Shot 2013-01-17 at 9.44.23 PM

When he was watching himself we he discomfort as he swallows hard and we see his jaws clenching.

he blatantly lies when he states to Oprah that he never failed a test. Then in his sociopathic thought  process he admits that retroactively he failed a test.

He tended to minimize what happened by saying “all this is a process.’ Again it was a form of distancing himself from what is happening with him.

When he said he is happier today than he ever was and Oprah confronted him and he back pedaled a sickening feeling came over me as I wondered again if he was a sociopath.

When asked why he sued people when he knew they were right and when I heard his monotone rote answer it once again made me wonder about sociopathy in relation to blaming others. He then talked about feeling attacked so he sued . He called one of his accusers a Bitch and Crazy but then says that he never called her fat. This was one of the most disturbing moments as you see is pathological thought process in action as he made it OK and justifies his actions of name calling because he didn’t use all three insults but only two.Oprah appeared to be disturbed by this as well.

Screen Shot 2013-01-17 at 9.59.02 PM

There was a lot of chin itching and scratching which indicated that  was not happy about being confronted about his actions  in such a detailed manner. he blames his comeback for causing all of his troubles and tells Oprah that they wouldn’t be sitting there if he didn’t have a comeback.Once again his statement smacked of sociopathy.

Screen Shot 2013-01-17 at 10.13.10 PMHis anger could be seen in his clenched jaw where his muscles protruded  along with his lower jaw as he said that he wouldn’t be  there if  it wasn’t for his comeback.

This interview did not help Lance Armstrong’s image. In fact it made it worse. We saw arrogance, defiance, anger, blame, and someone who really needs to be out of the public eye in my view. In my view he is a very disturbed individual who is very TOXIC!

Part two will focus on his charity, his sponsors,  and his family and how this has affected them so stay tuned for some more  behavior analysis and body language analysis.

Charlie Sheen’s NON TOXIC Gesture Pays Justin Bieber Photgrapher Funeral Instead of Beiber

While Charlie Sheen may have caused Toxic havoc on the set of Two and a Half Men, he not so Toxic after all. First he bailed out a debt ridden Lindsay Lohan with writing her a six figure check to pay her taxes. Now in another NON TOXIC act, he is  graciously paying for  the funeral of the  29 year old photographer Chris Guerra  who was killed  while shooting photos of  Justin Bieber’s car .

Sheen said “A tragic incident like this erases the line between the photographer and the subject. It’s an unforgiving moment that begs us all to be human and work as one to prevent this in the future.”

“As parents, we are all not supposed to bury our children. My deepest condolences to the families involved.”

While this is indeed a beautiful gesture on Sheen’s part, in my view it would have been even more powerful if Justin Bieber would have reached into his checkbook and written the check.

Ever wonder why you may be feeling depressed? It may be due to the Diet Coke you ordered to go with you meal at lunch A new study indicates sodas and other sugary drinks — especially artificially sweetened ones — could be related to depression.

According to the research, which will be officially released at the American Academy of Neurology’s annual meeting people who drink 4 or more of soda daily are about 30 percent more likely to be diagnosed with depression than people who don’t drink soda. Coffee drinkers are about 10 percent less likely to develop depression than people who don’t drink coffee.

The study that The National Institutes of Health did was very comprehensive as they examined more than a quarter of a million people 50 and 71  years of age and studied their drink consumption during 1995 and 1996. Ten years later, these people were asked whether they were ever diagnosed with depression since the year 2000.

According to their study “the risk appeared to be greater for people who drank diet [rather] than regular soda.”

“Our research suggests that cutting out or down on sweetened diet drinks or replacing them with unsweetened coffee may naturally help lower your depression risk,” Honglei Chen, who led the study, said in a statement. “

Not only has Diet Soda been linked to depression, it has also been linked to bone disease. According to the NIH Health Osteoporosis and Related Bone Diseases website.  Ingredients found in soft drinks, can raise your risk of osteoporosis http://www.livestrong.com/article/415832-diet-coke-osteoporosis/#ixzz2HZCgcoKG

Phosphoric acid, a substance found in many soft drinks which can affect bone health, causing  high phosphorous levels leading  to weak bones. Since osteoporosis can occur at any age, it is of particular concern for children who can get the disease in their youth.

So it is your best interest to stay away from carbonated drinks so that you won’t be at risk for depression or distort your body language and posture as a result of  bone disease.

Jodi Arias’ Body Language May Do Her In
January 3, 2013

On opening day of Jodi Aria’s trial, she  “cried” when the prosecutor spoke of her alleged evil deeds in stabbing her boyfriend 27 times and slashing his throat and then shooting him in the head. She also “cried” when her defense lawyer said that  her acts we in self defense. But the crying she did for  both  the prosecution and defense’s arguments  looked like what you see in the above photo, She hid her face and looked down.

That type of body language will not bode well for a jury because it looked fake and manipulative.

Screen Shot 2013-01-03 at 4.23.17 AMThere has  been a lot of talk  that because Jodi Arias is so attractive, a jury will not convict her or give her the death penalty. There is a lot of truth to the fact that those who are judged to be more physically attractive are judged to be less guilty of committing crimes. Research for the past three decades has validated this.  In the above photo blond, and curvy Arias looks very attractive.

She also looks very beautiful as a blond in various modeling shots which were taken of her.

Screen Shot 2013-01-03 at 5.25.14 AM

But in court, she did not look that pretty or glamorous  or sexy.  Instead  she looked like an average woman, which will put her on a evel playing field as far as the jury is concerned.   The crying she showed in court was no doubt designed to make her look like a vulnerable victim. But in reality  she oozes too much self confidence that verges on cockiness that the jury will detest.

Screen Shot 2013-01-03 at 4.40.43 AM

The jury  got a glimpse of this in an interview she  did with Inside Edition where she stated emphatically  that a jury will not convict her and to mark her words. I cannot imagine any attorney  allowing their client to go on a tabloid magazine show to declare her innocence, So I can only assume that she did this on her own. It was a huge mistake for her to do this if she wants a jury to not convict her.

She also changed her story too many times which is a huge red flag to a jury. It says that she is a liar and they will assume the worst. The jury was shown the sexual and bloody  photos of what she  did to her boyfriend from photos that were  retrieved from a  camera she put in a washing machine to wash away the evidence.

Screen Shot 2013-01-03 at 4.24.39 AM

A jury will never believe that she was  a victim as they see the body language of photos of the two of them together. In this photo she looks like she is the dominant one in the relationship as she grabs her boyfriend by the chin in a move to try and control him.

Screen Shot 2013-01-03 at 4.26.23 AM

This is another telling photo body language wise as he is pulled away from her while she leans on him.

She appears to have a sickening sweet tone which will turn a lot of people off. Whenever you hear someone with a high pitched baby girl tone, run, because there is often hidden anger  and rage under such a contrived tone. There is  also a monotone which is disconcerting and off-putting. Finally she appears  to have a mask like appearance devoid of emotion. There is also  a coldness to both her tone and facial expression which will not reflect well, especially of she takes the stand.

My view of what likely happened was that she got involved with a sexually inexperienced an naive young man with a Mormon background. According to his friends, he lost his virginity to her. At first it was exciting for him and he may have allowed her to take control over things, but as he spent more time with her he  realized, as he confided to his friends , that she was not the type of woman she wanted to settle down with and marry.

When he apparently began dating other women, she  obviously lot her control and hold  over him which angered her. He tried  to break up with her according to friends  but she wouldn’t hear of it.  Even though he wanted out there was a part of him that still enjoyed her sexually and that is why they were  obviously together on the last day  of life.

While she was taking photos of him  in the shower and engaging in sex with him she must have felt there was hope  for the relationship but  then something  happened that set her off. Perhaps he didn’t agree to get back together as a couple, or reciprocate and tell her that he loved her. Something that was said  or not said clearly angered her  to the point that she grabbed a weapon to stab him and keep stabbing him 27 times. She was in a fit of violent rage over the thought of not  having him.  She was so angry and violent with him that she slit his throat and just to make sure he was dead, shot him in the head.

To me this is clearly a crime of passion. The fact that she had a gun with her indicates that she must have thought about killing him that day. Who brings a gun to their boyfriend’s hime unless they plan to go to a gun range together, go hunting, or use it on the person?

In my view, she had plans to use the gun on her boyfriend if things didn’t go her way. Things  obviously didn’t go her way and she used the weapon. So there was premeditation involved in my view.It was in my view a premeditated crime of passion that could have gone either way, depending on whether she thought she could win him back,

The three different stories she told after  finally admitting she killed him in self defense will not make jurors sympathetic to her. As we will most likely hear in the testimony of his close friends and family, he  will have had  no history of being abusive.

Jodi does not appear credible or likable and the body language she has displayed thus far will seal her fate. While she will most likely be convicted she may or may not get the death penalty. There may be jurors who will sympathize  with her Some jurors may even feel that her boyfriend lead her on and  mentally abused her, based on the fact that they engaged in sex after he tried to dump her.

Unlike what the media has portrayed, this is not a case which is at all similar to the Casey Anthony case. There is no child involved and this woman doesn’t have enabling parents who are front and center trying to enable their daughter. Thus there are no parallels here.
